If you were God you wouldn't need to chase Sam, and as God you'd already know all of time and space at once as early as during the dawn of time.
Knowing all of time and space at once would make how thinking works to Him completely alien towards our understanding of what constitutes reality. He'd be more like a processing machine with no real means of sympathizing with humanity at all, lacking the inherent first person understanding beyond that of reading us like a book or an online article.
