First off, that Vice video's from 2011, they may have changed some policies around since then. It doesn't make it some vast conspiracy that's just nonsense on your part.

Secondly, I've met one person who's visited S.Korea and... pretty much verified their border situation's pretty scary and that getting into North Korea at that point would have taken extenuating circumstances.

There's border tensions, I'm not saying you can just fucking walk across the DMZ, but there are ways to enter the country and have a tour, and visit. You can't live there, but you can visit.

okay 2011, and my david pluth's video is his visit in 2007, doesn't seem like much policy changing.

Perhaps you ought to question your own sources as much as you'd demonize others.

I take it you've never heard of "Sea of Fire", nor their shenanigans with other countries?

Am I the one demonizing though? I'm watching your source and I'm giving my commentary on it, have you even begun either of the videos I've posted?

You mean your rant you made where a minute further into the video showed how they got in?

Yes, you didn't even listen to the entire thing before you went off the handle, and even now haven't begun to question your own sources when they appeal to how you'd prefer things be.

have you even begun either of the videos I've posted?

Not yet, going purely off of your replies in here, some past vids from you, and past reactions you've had to conflicting information.

Your zeal is a filter.

Because the way it was set up I assumed they were going to sneak in, then I corrected myself with the edit, did you not see that?

I'm doing a commentary of the video you sent me, meaning I was going bit by bit, I apologize if I miss something, and then it's explained later. I thought by making an edit, that would've solved the issue but apparently not.

My zeal is not a filter.

My argument is simply that North Korea isn't the exagerrated big brother state that the west portrays it as. Does that mean it is flawless or there are aspects about that aren't bad? Hell no, it suffers from issues, it does have some sense of xenophobia, and I consider the ideology of juche to be slightly racist. Though, I'd expect things like these to develop from a nation that is ideological it's only kind left in the world, and the rest of the world presses sanctions upon it, and screams that the North Koreans are going to kill us all if we don't do something.

If North Korea actually wanted a war, they would've done it and died by now. The problem is tensions on both sides. Ultimately most things in regards to North Korea can be hypocritical at one point or another.

What past reactions to conflicting information have I had where I go into this raging rant?

You see no issues with how quickly you jumped onto a strawman argument simply because you believed that it conflicted with your source? What if further into the video they hadn't answered your point, but otherwise still delivered accurate information?

The tendency in you remains a theme.

My zeal is not a filter.

Zeal by it's very nature is.

My argument is simply that North Korea isn't the exagerrated big brother state that the west portrays it as.

Are you kidding me, other than from boomers it's mostly made out to be a joke. "Sea of Fire" is the silliest thing from them, and their shenanigans are pure comedy. The work it takes to get inside though's legit.

What sort of "big brother state" are you talking about in your case, as the place has a pretty awful distribution of resources and their censorship practices are at points barbaric.

Does that mean it is flawless or there are aspects about that aren't bad? Hell no, it suffers from issues, it does have some sense of xenophobia, and I consider the ideology of juche to be slightly racist.

What's worth noticing about North Korea are where their government and their figurehead don't always agree, but in the end it's their government's interests that pass instead of their leader's simple idealism. He's basically a child king in an adult's body, but the system he's in the middle of is a fucking mess. They need help, but they need the help to be there when the framework is ideal.

Though, I'd expect things like these to develop from a nation that is ideological it's only kind left in the world, and the rest of the world presses sanctions upon it, and screams that the North Koreans are going to kill us all if we don't do something.

If they weren't such a pathetic force to behold through poor organizing and a bad history, their mentality would present a very real danger.

If North Korea actually wanted a war, they would've done it and died by now.

They can't afford it, but they need to peacock to not look bad in front of the other leaders.

Seriously, they have done some sad strategies in the past.

The problem is tensions on both sides. Ultimately most things in regards to North Korea can be hypocritical at one point or another.

Like what?

What past reactions to conflicting information have I had where I go into this raging rant?

This would be a tangent, we can save it for after.

In the video it speaks about lack of electricity and lack of cars, yea, there's not many cars or electricity in places of north korea, and yea it doesn't live in luxury , it's pretty sad. but about the cars, i mean it's a relatively small country, only 27, and actually there's a lot that use bikes.
