I Am Not Mentally Ill- at all, period

I know most of you struggle with pretty severe mental disorders, as does Sam and some other people i talk to on the internet(some are actually sane tho unlike you guys), and I too have had some mental issues in the past

But during my last Licensed Therapist with a Masters degree in his field (not TC, a currently practicing therapist I was meeting with irl) visit we came to the conclusion I had worked through enough symptoms that I had no diagnosible mental disorder anymore.

So that's where I'm at right now and I'm also in general pretty happy and content and peaceful and positive so not looking to change too much :)

I am interested in medical and health advice from Licenced certified professionals with degrees only, and I wont ever take your advice seriously unless you have a Masters in Psychology/Counsiling/Psychiatry, or for health advice if you are a Medical Doctor with a degree

Just a heads up, you can save the advice sc clown friends of mine lol :)

(TC has a degree in Psychology so I do actually take him seriously though unlike the rest of you, and also because his advice has worked on me many times and helped me become a better more positive person)

Go to a clinician (ie medical doctor) not an LCSW. If helpful to you great—if not disregard

I mean from that perspective you can diagnose anyone with anything. That doesnt mean you should, and I only am willing to listen to advice and take diagnosis seriously from Doctors with Masters in their field

And I already have seen plenty of Licensed Professionals for both mental and physical health

And I am A-ok in both areas of health, according to these Doctors, who went to school and obtained Masters to be experts in their field. Soooo, that speaks for itself. Im fine

So you're just a lame-o...? HAha Nah just kidding. You're a girl so that's really good. Dudes should be slamming their heads in the concrete. Girls should stay in the ivory tower

Not really, your stories counter the potential to throw other disorders at you.

You'd probably turn them down as well if not warp the message if it wasn't to your liking, and people in the field are still very prone to human error and can only work with what you provide them with. They are far from infallible, trust me, misdiagnosis goes on pretty damn rampantly.

So why are you so averse to being seen as mentally ill?

It tells us very little, since Psychology is a speculative science. It's not neuroscience, so they can only suspect what's going on with you based on their own ability to discern it relative to how you're behaving and your case history. They look at patterns and see if it applies, and there's a lot of room for false positives and just as much room to say there's nothing wrong.

I and many I've known have gone through misdiagnosis times and practitioners reluctant to give you the right diagnosis from a variety of reasons. I was on record as ADD for a little bit from an earlier diagnostician when the other symptoms weren't as understood, and it actually took me fighting tooth and nail versus a later reluctant therapist to have myself tested and prove her assumptions wrong.

You can't fully trust that psychiatrists and psychologists know what's going on just because they studied it, a lot of them get it wrong and can't even fully relate to disorders themselves, treating it more like a plague to cure instead of harm to reduce.
