i meant good results in the eyes of the apology recipient. is this not the goal of the apology? even a false apology, if done correctly, can be good in the eyes of the recipient, no?

 right, of course i would expect some bantering back and fourth. in fact, i enjoy this myself. just was noticing more than usual. at the time of the post about half or more of the threads were attacks on other members. :)

I wonder if this is the equivalent of upped competitive behavior to find the most food for the incoming sleepy weather. Combat is expected when food scarcity is a thing. Our food is drama I suppose

The goal of the apology is supposed to be about showing remorse through a lesser form of pledging fealty in hopes of bringing things back to where they once were. 

Apologies are about power, where the giver of them is lowering themselves towards the other as a sign of respect. This is why I find people who demand apologies extremely petty. 

When you use an apology to mean more than the above, it's abusing the system. I don't bother with those or promises from them being too inherently legalistic and to have it mean more when I'd bother to do it.

The way you reflect on it though is as if to suggest you aren't a part of it, even with you agreeing towards our continued insistence of it.
