External results matter as much as your own means of appreciating it, as otherwise it's more of a reflection of that person instead of even what they might want. It covers their Desires, but not necessarily their Needs. I'd say needs are more important that desires, as desires are morphic while needs are internalized and rigid. 

If at your core you're a shit person, than the external results sought after will be shit. "Good Results" more so denotes success than morality, and how fulfilling it is depends on how much that your desires do or don't resolve your needs.
