I started just breezing through the one page new player guide they put out.

i don’t like the graphics in the game! Hard to focus on the playing field it seems! This is coming from an artist —I’ve never been much for video games =P Take that back—just not a lot of experience with video games ...

Getting to max level on your profile is annoying, but that's when both your enemies and allies become harder players. 

Who have you played as so far?

Also coming from an artist, I rather like it. It feels more like the game it was based off of and it looks fairly inspired for graphics that run well on low end machines.

There's an in-game tutorial, and you can do some matches with bots to practice basic gameplay both with or without other players on your team. The game also gives you time to "level up" your profile so that you can learn the game more before versing people who play it like it's their job.

There's also guides online for how to build your character that you can use while you're still learning: https://www.mobafire.com. I think it breaks the spirit of learning a game to just use strategy guides other people made, but a lot of people use them.
