I can't see CS as a real source of information personally. She makes a lot of odd claims.
Nah, i really don't want to ruin future job prospects or ruin my gf's career if she is doxed as a consequence of me getting doxxed.
Doxxing is only "not so bad" if you have no job or position in society that you need to maintain.
As doxing becomes more common and newsworthy, it's having less impacts on the real world.
Who here would bother with it anyway? I've seen more extensive damages done to people on other websites, people here mostly just ridicule each other over what they're seeing (and even that's going out of style).
Have you figured how many people here have already been doxed with nothing coming of it? You aren't a "somebody" in the louder sense of it, you haven't triggered the wrong people or stuck your head up too high, you even have a lot of sympathy points by proxy, you'd be fine. Most of doxing is about making the person feel ashamed of things like their vanity, calling them on false claims, making the target feel scared over a complexly self built fear, or otherwise just laughing at them.
