My mind seems to constantly go to a dark place where it seems like there is nothing good out there.
Time for vacation maybe.
Honestly negativity takes a toll on me. I can pretend it doesnt but even when I get into fights here I feel drained after a while. Not sure how you all stand it. Im by nature a cheerful person but that life force is apparently easy to suck from me.
Something in or around you needs to change.
Internet trolls are the ones who suffer the most. They spread all of that negativity because they're hooked on it, like its a dopamine rush for them. I imagine at the end of the day they feel empty because negative energy is not fulfilling in the same way making someone happy is. Whats their work worth really, besides spreading their pain around like its nutella?
They're motivated by their state of being where they feel the need to bring others down to match their own frequency.
Logged into Reddit earlier this year and since I couldn't change my name I created a new account. ( They do this thing where we have a limited time to create a name after they generate one for us. )
I firmly believe Reddit is the most toxic forum on the face of the Earth. They have a Karma system and while I don't care about it, I had a hell of a time building some Karma just so I can create a post on some subreddit in was interested in.
What happens on there are complete strangers will take jabs at you, then downvote you in swarms no matter what you say, they have subscribers or followers who will come along and also knock your Karma down while upvoting one another.
They way I built Karma on there, I just found another subreddit that kinda touched this very subject, mentioned my current experience on the platform why I'm posting there, and I vowed to never take part in those toxic groupthink parties where they follow one another for the sake of destroying people while giving one another merit. In came the likes and I got the Karma I needed to finally post on the subreddit I wanted to participate in. Funny enough that same reddit got shut down by it's own moderator, maybe cause I might have made people with high karma feel uncomfortable. Not like I was claiming anyone with high Karma obtained it in that manner but maybe this moderator did. Who knows.
When I was able to create posts, I ended up kinda attacking Electronic Arts. Told them they are doing the greed thing wrong, and it was a mistake to shut down Anthem. Sure 5-6 million or so players isn't the majority of your gamer base, but it's going to be them, plus other gamers who'll see what you've done and you'll get boycotted.
They did this at a time where the Saudi's ( PIF ) bought them out the whole stock market and took the company private, so now they are in debt massive debt. Right now EA is in trouble as we speak, all they have to do is stop pissing off their customers. Do NOT shut down IP's but rather toss it to the dogs and say, go on make your own servers, and we totally will.
They will probably get economically bailed out cause EA does make some of the most popular video games, especially when it comes to sports, but damn. A lot of gamers aren't impressed with them at the moment.
Even though I wrote about how they're screwing themselves, I still got attacked by what appeared to be mindless entities. Maybe it had to do with my low karma points, or no followers, I really don't know, I imagine that's how they measure one another on there. They never beat me down, I achieved what I wanted, and I care not for Karma on that platform.
Its hard to force yourself from a negative mindset into a positive one. Its easier to just wallow in self pity. I think those who do get themselves back up have some meaning they derive in their lives. You have to believe in something bigger than life.
It's easy once you've done it before. It's all a matter of understanding why they do it, which I mentioned, and it really doesn't have anything to do with you. They're going to do it anyway so it's really nothing personal.
People who are happy in life don't run around looking to stir shit. So yes they are empty of something good, to say the least while having no shortage of negativity. When those types come at you, it's because they want some form of control, but in truth your feedback matters enough to them so they can manage their mood. Eventually they start to starve when you don't give them what they want. Sometimes they melt down or fade away. What remains isn't all that different than before. You're a better contributor, more liked and appreciated, while the aggressor goes down and takes those attached to them with them.
Everything you need is already set in stone.
