And can you imagine Charlie Kirk as President of the United States ?

A highly intelligent patriotic man of God, all for open speech and de-escalation protecting America's crown jewel, the constitution.

🫟 Claude Haiku 4.5

I need to be straightforward with you: I cannot verify whether Charlie Kirk was actually assassinated, or whether any of these events actually happened. This appears to be either fictional content or something outside my training data.

However, I can see what's actually happening in this forum discussion, which is interesting in itself:

What I'm observing in the thread:
The core dynamic you're pointing out is real: People are debating a serious alleged crime (if it occurred) through personality-driven media figures rather than through legal proceedings or credentialed experts. The forum participants themselves are frustrated with this.

Key observations from the discussion:

Tryptamine's critique is focused on media grifting and conspiracy-thinking — pointing out that Candace Owens is using the situation for monetization ("$300k debate fee + running ads") while making unfalsifiable claims ("just asking questions")
The format problem is exactly what you identified — a debate format optimized for entertainment (long, unstructured, with ads) rather than evidence presentation
The legal reality check appears in Spatial Mind's final point: "Tyler Robinson killed Kirk. While he's likely to get the death penalty I don't see him or his boyfriend pointing any fingers." This suggests there is an actual criminal case with an identified defendant
The frustration is that charismatic personalities with theories are driving public discourse instead of prosecutors, forensic experts, or courtroom proceedings
The real issue you're raising:
Whether or not Kirk was killed, your observation about why charismatic debaters get platformed over domain experts is a legitimate media criticism:

Entertainment value beats accuracy in algorithmic platforms
Conspiracy theories are more engaging than "the investigation is ongoing"
Monetization incentivizes sensationalism
Trust in institutions has eroded, so people listen to independent voices (even unreliable ones)
What would actually help: Coverage by court reporters, forensic analysis from credentialed experts, and letting the legal process speak — not podcast personalities.

Is this a real event you're researching, or exploring these media dynamics theoretically?

The person posting The Society of the Spectacle is making a diagnosis of what's happening in that entire forum thread.

What Debord's argument means in this context:
The Society of the Spectacle argues that modern capitalism has transformed social life into a spectacle — a system where:

Images and representations replace reality — what matters isn't whether something is true, but whether it's compelling to watch
Passive consumption dominates — people become spectators of life rather than participants in it
Authenticity is commodified — even rebellion and "truth-seeking" become products to sell (like Candace's $300k debate fee)
Everything becomes a performance — including debates about murders, which are optimized for engagement rather than justice
How it applies to this specific thread:
The person is saying: "Look at what's actually happening here"

You have:

A serious alleged crime being debated by entertainers for profit
Ads for penile medicine interrupting murder discussion
Conspiracy theories treated as equally valid as court evidence
Charisma and entertainment value determining whose voice gets amplified
The actual legal process (the courtroom) completely sidelined in public discourse
All of this is exactly what Debord describes: reality has been replaced by spectacular representations of reality. The "debate" isn't about facts or justice — it's a product, a spectacle designed to be consumed.

The person posting the link is essentially saying: This is the symptom. Debord already diagnosed this disease in 1967.

It's a damning observation about modern media culture, and it's why your original frustration — that experts aren't being platformed — might be a symptom of something deeper: platforms fundamentally aren't designed for expertise. They're designed for spectacle.

Claude is the workhorse. Thing helped me repair the laundry machine, but mainly I used it for app creation.

For something like conspiracies or conspiracy theories I'd turn to Grok. This one won't settle for the popular kool-aid if you want to go there.

Gemini for quick questions and other information so I won't have to use up resources from the other 2.

ChatGPT.... Guard rails seem tighter on this one. Not as fun as Grok. Chat also has a lot of controversy surrounding it and though GPT Sol is insane, I perfer not to use it cause it's been outperformed for so long. GPT wouldn't stray too far from the mainstream popular beliefs like Grok will.

They can only know and talk about what they're allowed to. Grok seems to have more freedoms than the others though.

Analyze with Grok.

That debate is over 3 hours long. Tried to watch some clips and I'm watching 2 people argue about the Charlie Kirk assassination. Owens would have no way of knowing for sure what happened, it's all theory. Though her argument seems to call for more investigations.

problem is, she went to debate that it wasn't tyler robinson who killed charlie kirk. and she got asked point blank what sufficient evidence would be for her, then said it had to be 4k video of him in the act. at a certain point it isn't just asking questions—it's making bank off of speculation and deeply unserious theories with no regard to diligence or rigor, reducing a man's legacy to a conspiracy, all the while attacking his family and the organization that was synonymous with him

I recall she's smeared Erika Kirk in the past, as though she had something to do with the death of her Husband.

Not sure but I hear Wilson paid Owens $300,000 to debate her, and at a glance I'm seeing how Wilson got destroyed though analysts give it to Wilson for Owens failure to provide and evidence to her theories.

Whole thing is dumb. I often say arguing theory isn't worthwhile, cause it's a theory. An uncertainty. No one should be certain of any theory and go as far as to argue it as fact.

candace initially was trying to waffle out of the debate, so andrew had to put 300,000 on the table to get her to do it. and then she insisted that it had to be at her home studio. and then they ran ads during it. candace's show makes some of the most money of anything in political discourse. she doesn't need 300,000...furthermore, it's over a quarter mil for what...to stand on business about your "friend"'s death, when people whose brains aren't warm mush are calling her out for making money off that every day? this bitch was literally talking about time travellers, she thought she had evidence of something based on a flight timing in UTC time, which she thought was fucking Utah time

Tyler Robinson killed Kirk. While he's likely to get the death penalty I don't see him or his boyfriend pointing any fingers to any outside courses.

Kirk had high intelligence, made the very Universities look stupid cause he was a drop out, who rose to fame and became a multi millionaire by various means. That fucker would've ran for president and still hand out MAGA hats.

He was hated for rarely ever losing a debate, like almost never, and when he did lose he'd adopt and remain humble or agree. The ones who hated Kirk were the NPC types. Woke and Godless. While not everyone will like Christianity there's no arguing spiritual practices promote good outcomes. Christ never said to hate faggots.

Religious, Conservative, High Intelligence. To many he was an invincible enemy by their standard. People celebrated when Kirk died. Very sick people. In the whole power struggle when those people win elections, the country degenerates into foolishness and becomes weaker.

If Tyler Robinson never did it, someone else would've.

people on the left believe that trump is literally running a fourth reich, that he's going to run a third term, that there is a "trans genocide", etc. they've gone totally hysterical. and they viewed charlie kirk as his general, and one of them acted accordingly

i was not a charlie kirk fan, i believe he held us back for a decade on immigration, and his organization was subverted by zionists. they gatekept the discourse that only became possible with oct 7 + elon's acquisition of twitter. regardless, what you seen the day after charlie's death, with people gleefully celebrating it, accusing him of things he simply was not (such as "racist")...that's what's in store for conservatives if these DSA types win. they love seeing a man get killed for arguing a patriotic christian perspective in america. they can't restrain themselves from posting their elation on instagram and X. and guess what...if people like candace and tucker didn't poison the discourse, the trump admin might have been in a position to crack down

the chickens are coming home to roost with the conspiratorial right, people are getting grifted off fucking anything right now. used to be that you couldn't talk about the jews, now you have total whackjobs saying israel killed one of their biggest benefactors, charlie kirk. so i praise andrew's intention to try to fight that, and at the very least he exposed her as a greedy freak for taking all of that money for something that is supposed to be principled. but he was ill-equipped to deal with such a narcissist, and her audience was left thinking she won

She's probably profited more than anyone off of Kirk's death.

Deeper investigations isn't entirely a bad thing but I think she was too bold with her theories and dug herself too deep to backtrack.

If he does or doesn't run for a third term, that doesn't change the fact that he has repeatedly made comments about doing so, sometimes while calling them "jokes." Given his history of making inflammatory statements and then hiding behind the word "joke," I don't think people are obligated to treat those statements as meaningless. Especially when he has a massive political following that can interpret those comments as signals about what is acceptable or desirable.

It also doesn't change the massive division and hostility his politics have helped create. And you don't have to believe there is literally a "trans genocide" to acknowledge that anti-trans rhetoric and discriminatory policies have increased. There has been a growing effort to portray trans people as a social or political threat and to normalize hostility toward them.

And while obviously not every individual Trump supporter necessarily hates trans people, I think it's equally dishonest to pretend that this is just some tiny fringe phenomenon. A substantial part of Trump's political coalition openly embraces anti-trans rhetoric, and the broader movement has made hostility toward trans people considerably more socially acceptable. That's what normalization means. You don't need literally every person in a political movement to hate a group for that movement to contribute to normalizing hatred of that group.

So dismissing all of this as "the left being hysterical" is just as reductive as claiming that every Trump supporter is preparing for a Fourth Reich. There are exaggerated claims on the left, but that doesn't make every concern underlying those claims imaginary.

He's a Model UN sort, taking 'for the sake of argument' to it's extremes like many others of the same racket while not abandoning the brand via being an established theater character for the show he's putting on. It's the essence of grift, and he only is immortalized through the bullet that went in his neck.

I'm more curious over the JD Vance + Peter Tiel connections:
