so... today I have some gossip for you guys

as you know I am experimenting with being a snowbird, and since winter is coming again, I have returned 2000 miles out west to the deserts of California and took my 30 foot camper out of its storage spot and got it all setup and I've been staying here a month now and having a great time working as a software engineer and slowly improving my camper

so 2 days ago I got a new neighbor at my RV park... he is an old boomer

this guy used to work in hawaii as a computer repairman for small companies, but he got hurt paragliding so he ended up in a campground for like 10 years or w.e just being depressed healing i guess idk? living in the most cheap camp ground he can, surrounded by loud noises and grumpy neighbors who he had drama with

so apparently recently he got fed up with the drama, and bit the bullet, and moved all his stuff to this new RV park. he's very excited to be in this new RV park... almost as if he was on drugs or something.. like that excited.. but i dont think he is.. but i think another big reason he is excited is because he seems very happy to have me as a neighbor

i suppose for an old boomer who thinks hes still trendy and cool... its a fun idea to have a younger techy to be his "friend" or w.e..... so now each time i go outside, he comes out and talks my ear off, invites me to do events with him, offers to help me with stuff etc

I have decided that I think he's kinda a low quality human being... probably unclean, poor, over-confident for being such a loser, and in denial about his old age.... and he also seems to be lonely, and since I am kind and friendly he thinks i am gonna maybe solve his loneliness problems?

i just keep politely leading him along making him think i will hang out with him when he brings up things to do but i think i will just never "have time" you know?

i want my neighbors to like me so they dont cause drama, but this is my first time having a neighbor who is like REALLY happy to be my friend and its like.... i'm gonna have to let this boomer down slow cuz im an introvert and i do my own thing lol

 In my experience it's always that one person who wants to be my new best friend who a few months down the track will turn out to be the one that I might eventually need a restraining order against. The 'quality' people usually keep their distance with newcomers until they've sized them up well enough to know if they're worth any effort. 

I'd be mighty pissed if someone peeked in my door and felt entitled enough to comment on my stuff. He sounds like he's going to be very annoying, at the least. 

I'd so keep my distance from lil miss friendly girl living by herself. 

so today i woke up at 3:30pm and decided I'm going to drive 1.5 housr to the nearest home depot to buy some materials for my camper to keep improving it

my neighbor, hearing that, asked if he can ride along........................ so 6 hours today of hearing this guy talk. i tried to turn up the radio to shut him up and he just kept talking over the radio all the way there and back

he's a nice person with lots of valuble traveling info but honestly people who enjoy talking even if you go quiet.... are SO annoying like seriously omg

like this guy doesnt understand how much social energy he is leaching from me

This is turning into a buddy cop caper, isn't it?

i dont realyl know how i feel about the whole situation yet 

like woudl the trip have been funner if i went alone? idk probably not...... but at least when i dont wana hear the radio i can turn it off, this guy is like a radio station stuck to some really boring topics i cant turn off 

the most cringe stuff he talks about is how he wants to go to protests so he can pick up the hippie girls there.... like wow 61 year old man and you have to think about girls and bring them up every 20 min or so? like what a desperate pathetic loser ... as if any girl would ever want a bald old man who cant stop talking

or like bragging about past gfs he had.... like maybe to boomers that is a fun thing to talk about but to me it just seems gross and distasteful and perverted 

I gave him my phone and asked him to google maps to the store and he could not figure out google maps... claimed he didnt have his reading glasses.... like wow you old loser.. trying to appear young so you blind yourself? so pathetic
