I tend to hear it just as much if not more from right wing angst, if they are not otherwise presented to a professional capacity.

I saw you more as apolitical with begrudgingly left leaning views over it having you dislike 'joining a side'. 

I knew my friend's Sister since she was born. Obviously she's a grown woman now. She has tattoos and she sometimes dyes her hair with purple highlights.

She still does that though she is no longer a leftist. She used to do that poetry thing where people give speeches about their hardships. The oppressed olympics basically, then she snapped out of it. Voted Conservative, understands the MAGA movement. She's still pro Palestine maybe cause she has some muslim friend who's passionate about it, and thinks there's a genocide going on over there.

The point is there are some people who look like leftists but they've come to realize how they can no longer align themselves with the loud people on the left.
