Any conditions you may have about making your choice a) must lead to a definite decision, and b) don't actually have to be shared.  You.  Must.  Choose.  One or the other, however the premise is, whatever those conditions are, no ambiguity leading to indecision.

If, for example, the choice of band depends on who is more amenable to changing their style in order to make your decision, then you find out which one would be like that (to whatever depth of investigation matters to you) and decide on them.  Whatever leads to the binary choice being made.
