Animals can pick up on people's feelings. You two's mutual hatred of it is likely being noticed and contributing to the problem.

Are you two ready to even have pets at all? They aren't just supposed to be a happy easy to please extension of you, they're an investment not too differently from owning a small child. You two need to practice more compassion and patience, otherwise you two have no business raising an animal.

Delora loves it, only I dislike it.

Expressing fear when the ginnea pig does is still sending it bad signals. A lot of animals can't tell anger and fear apart, as it sends across similar smells and displays of intensity that activate fight/flight instincts in response. The two feelings are more related than people let on, and the animal kingdom's responses to it proves that.

Also, calling it dumb and reflecting on it "hating you guys" does not sound like "like". The poor thing's going through abuse like this, and if you want this to work you'll need to accommodate everything you're doing for it's sake as it's own form of therapy, otherwise you have no business raising one. The main reason I do well with meeting animals and raising dogs and cats is because of how I can chill my vibes and otherwise make it about their needs.

Imagine if you two had a child with these problems.

What do you like about them, and what breeds are your preference?

I prefer breeds of dogs closer to the wild, and as a result I seem to know how to socialize with animals like wolves and foxes somewhat more. A lot of people who "like dogs" prefer the ones that went through excessive Neoteny, either for obedience or accomplishing a specific purpose as per their genetically steered, "Unnatural Selection" birth right we've sewn into their DNA.

Dogs are a reflection of their genetic upbringing. The more that they reflect our needs and desires, the more that likely came from us tainting them BEYOND DOMESTICATION into something completely unnatural.

first off i am nice to my guinnea pig and i am never mad at it, tbh i feel sad when she runs away. i do get frustrated with myself when she runs off though maybe she senses that and thinks its at her i hope not. i have had guinnea pigs before and i know they are skittish as i have cared for them for an animal shelter for 2 years and directed everyone on how to care for them so i know a lot about that. she is a baby and theu all act this way, not just that but shes a runt as well. the fear is nornal for new guinnea pigs, as well as babies and runts, but the unhappiness is what baffles me. she started out with a nice cage and after shes settled im going to expand it to have a garden and second floor with a yard. but maybe i should do that now? although shes not secure in her enviorment yet. she dosnt feel happy yet. i know shes lonely but the pet store was getting ready to move her into her own separate cage for a reason. shes a runt, and has scared of other pigs before dur to bring bullied. ive dealt with runts and thats a common issue. i cqn gradually introduce her to a new pig but typically pigs get hurt and im afraid that would be abusive to the new pig.

Guinea pigs are not skittish by nature. It sounds like it was separated from its mom way too soon. They are endlessly food driven, so set it down on the floor and make a wall so it can't hide behind things. Make sure you haven't fed it for like 24 hours. Then put treats here and there so it actually has to walk in the open to get the food, and finally it can only eat out of your hand. Trying to hide is a normal behavior, being jumpy and moody not so much. But of course this takes patience.

Can I ask a few things about piglet? How is her home set up? Does she have a feeling of safety there? What do you feed her? How old was she when you got her?

I have literally never even with skittish pigs have them shit themselves. So I wonder what you feed her. But if you bathe her you can do that without trauma. If you have a tub, simply draw a lukewarm bath so deep that she has to swim. Splash her if needed for washing. Then just let her swim it off. You can also just let her swim for stress reduction. Just don't forget her or let her swim more than like 10 minutes. I'm not joking, they are avid swimmers and they prefer baths to showers. Just for hygiene, you never thought of that she will clean herself up?

Normally I wouldn't recommend swimming, but the little anxiety she feels being in water is probably lower than what she feels when you touch her.

So, I allowed this creature into my home, and though it has been less than a week, I already hate it. This disgusting creature is among one of the most idiotic animals I have ever seen in my life. It combines every aspect of the small canine I detest and unleashes it in the most irritating form. First off is the ugliness. Guinea pigs look like midget rats with down syndrome. Their ass is 50% of their body, it's just a giant ass, literally. Oh, well I guess it isn't just a ball of ass. What I meant to say was, a ball of ass and fear. This ungrateful blonde bitch does nothing but run away from Delora and scream. No matter what she does for it, the idiot just runs behind something. It hurts Delora's feelings. The only time it is not like this is when she feeds it. A greedy, selfish, and fearful mini rat full of hate. I saw some people implying we need two of them. I'd sooner seen it returned to the pet shop than tolerating two of these useless animals. Oh, and it is stupid too. It knocks down its food and water and pisses and shits in the water before running around in it, forcing Delora to give it a bath which prompts it to run from her in fear.

I hate guinea pigs.

Why did you put guinea in quotes?
