Regarding my wife's "guinea" pig

So, I allowed this creature into my home, and though it has been less than a week, I already hate it. This disgusting creature is among one of the most idiotic animals I have ever seen in my life. It combines every aspect of the small canine I detest and unleashes it in the most irritating form. First off is the ugliness. Guinea pigs look like midget rats with down syndrome. Their ass is 50% of their body, it's just a giant ass, literally. Oh, well I guess it isn't just a ball of ass. What I meant to say was, a ball of ass and fear. This ungrateful blonde bitch does nothing but run away from Delora and scream. No matter what she does for it, the idiot just runs behind something. It hurts Delora's feelings. The only time it is not like this is when she feeds it. A greedy, selfish, and fearful mini rat full of hate. I saw some people implying we need two of them. I'd sooner seen it returned to the pet shop than tolerating two of these useless animals. Oh, and it is stupid too. It knocks down its food and water and pisses and shits in the water before running around in it, forcing Delora to give it a bath which prompts it to run from her in fear.

I hate guinea pigs.

Animals can pick up on people's feelings. You two's mutual hatred of it is likely being noticed and contributing to the problem.

Are you two ready to even have pets at all? They aren't just supposed to be a happy easy to please extension of you, they're an investment not too differently from owning a small child. You two need to practice more compassion and patience, otherwise you two have no business raising an animal.

They are lovely creatures. And cute. People make two mistakes with them. They buy them from a pet store. A big no-no for buying any pet. You buy a pet from a breeder that has mated animals wisely for good health and a good temper and handled the animal from day one. She went and bought some factory raised animal. No wonder it is afraid. Also, you never get one, you get two. They rely on each other for stress reduction.

Guinea pigs are by nature safe and docile. So if you have a skittish one, is because you got it from a shit breeder. Skittish pigs very rarely calm down. Kill it and start over. The right way. It can't help it was bred by people similar to yourself, people with actually no heart.

Or when I think of it, don't get another animal until you grow up and get some sense of responsibility.

You might be right but, Delora would never get rid of it. I would get rid of it if given the option but she would be very upset.

how do you know, you don't have any? Male guinea pigs will fight because testosterone, they can be vary happy in male/ female pairs, just make sure to get them spayed and neutered.

You'll guinea pig is probably acting like a little shit because it is miserable.
