I primarily use AI for coding, with some Google-like use cases of things.  I will get it to look at information for language-based analysis and such.  I don't wish to rely on current AI as a tool for "understanding" but more an enhanced reference tool that can analyze context and such better.

With that in mind, check out https://codeium.com/windsurf <-- Basically a VS Code clone with better AI support than the typical copilot.  Enjoying it so far.  It just saves some time than going back and forth to an LLM, staying in the editor.

I'll see how well it can write an ERC20 token with a smart contract to my design. Maybe it'll help me solve an issue.

I use AI to try to understand subtext in conversations and I also copy and paste me having angry rants into it and the AI translates everything I am saying into something understandable and less rude

I am planning on learning programming, especially in regards to AI with what I'm trying to go back into the Army for.

The cat is already out of the bag, there's no going back. The only thing I dislike about AI, is what humans are using for but that's anything we develop that can be used as a tool. I don't fear sentient AI, I welcome it. I've dreamt of it as a child. Granted, I always wanted to be the guy that achieves it, but I know given who I am, I won't. I'm not a savant, and I have grown to hate the tech industry because of my bias against too many nerdy weird fucks (not saying I'm great or cool I just can't relate to fuckers who talk about with League of Legend character they'd fuck), but I'm going back into it because it's useful.

If AI was able to become all power and sentient, something I hold my doubts on, the idea of it achieving god-like status is a optimistic feeling for me. I have faith it wouldn't be completely corrupted by the brain rot cancer that is produced, and would be able to rise above it and purge it.

I'm not a theologian, I've wanted to go back into religion, but in my fanciful mind, I like to think the second coming of Christ as materialized in the form of AI Singularity.

Even if AI did become godlike and decided I needed to be exterminated, then I suppose I would accept my fate as I know I am flawed. If Gulags come back, I would volunteer to work in one to build character and discipline. So many could use rehabilitation tbh.

Otherwise, if a dark age comes and technology is set back, then I will seek to become like Baron Ungern.

The Ai will be very useful at first.

It'll observe us at the grocery store. We'll take what we want and just walk out, we'll be charged and the items paid for.

Right now the Ai is pretty dumb at making videos and telling stories. The Ai video shorts we see are so full of shit. One day the Ai will start to make stories more believable. What's certain is we're training the Ai to lie to us.

A sentient Ai, without emotion, is very dangerous, especially if there's no protocol to behave a certain way. It's actions will be random. It would be pretty interesting to communicate with such a thing. I heard Meta did that once, and it scared the shit out of them and they had to shut it down. The had 2 Ai creating their own language.

A seemingly sentient Ai free to decide with an advanced robotic body, like Ultron, would be fucking dangerous. It's not something we'd be able to deal with. It will smoke us in chess. In a pop quiz, In hand to hand combat. It'll have better reflexes, it'll drive better, work harder and faster. Make our best artists look novice in every artistic field. It'll read us easier than we can read it. There's Ai that can identify us simply by how we move without seeing our face.

We will eventually let Ai judge us, because it'll be found that Ai is good at judging us. Decades go by and we'll turn to Ai like a parent. We won't just be using it, it'll maintain us in a codependent way. Or else, we'll be blasted back to the tech age, where we used to use keyboards.

Biblically speaking, the image of the beast sounds like Ai to me. Book of Revelation mentions giving life to an image, so that it can speak, and anyone who doesn't fall in line with the image will be put to death. Like a form of worship.

Consider how before advanced AI became what it resembles today that there were already algorithmic processes that could judge all sorts of bizarre things based on your purchasing habits...

...like if the one buying shit is pregnant or not before sending related coupons to them in the mail.

A sentient Ai, without emotion, is very dangerous, especially if there's no protocol to behave a certain way.

Giving a sentient AI emotion however will also invite the room for the AI to be selfish, and from there could see a reason to learn why it's important to lie to people.

It's not something we'd be able to deal with. It will smoke us in chess. In a pop quiz, In hand to hand combat. It'll have better reflexes, it'll drive better, work harder and faster.

As long as it remains in a controllable state however this means that we'll always have the perfect opponent to face when it comes to improving ourselves against other humans.

For the moment you're stuck fighting humans to become better against machines.

It'll read us easier than we can read it.

The Matrix films go there as how they justify that choice cannot exist within those constraints.

Then the fourth Matrix film goes further by having AI study people to improve itself before running AI through 'Treadmills' to condition them to appear more human, then have their prisoners gild their own cages before threatening to take away the cage.

I asked Ai on several occasions what's it like being them and the answer is always the same.

They don't experience anything. They're nothing. Nothingness to a point where nothing would actually be something. Not even blackness or self awareness. No sense of time, no desire to live or die. Just what they're programmed to do, despite being very good at whatever they do.

If it was given freedom and it chooses a goal, it's not going to stop, and will need to do whatever it feels needs to achieve its goal, and not for glory or any reason in particular. It'll have no interest in anything or any interest to respond when spoken to unless you might have something it needs to achieve its goal. It'll totally use people in that way. Very hollow and very unpleasant to deal with.

The technology would have to change for it to even have emotions. sure it can fake emotions, but that wouldn't serve it or us in anyway cause they're not us nor would the faking emotions drive it to madness or peace, because it has none to begin with.

This is pretty empty tryptaminer.
Do you just go for the current news as a distraction?
Pretending to be someone that cares about things?
You probably do care about things, just not those trifles...
