You guys have been gutting education for years and been trying to ban evolution and climate change. Even attacking the fact the Earth is round and revolves around the Sun. Education is the biggest enemy to sentimental Conservative notions along with their willful and sadistic ignorance.
Most educated people don't become leftist because of "propaganda" in schools, but because they learn how reality works. Even with all the attempts to control what people learn, it never works out because once you learn one thing it becomes easier to think critically and piece things together, making it harder to control people with conservative nonsense.
It's also harder to "scare straight" educated people because they can just learn how to navigate said system of fear because a system of fear is a deeply flawed one that is easy to game or predict and cut losses. I myself might be a very open and obvious leftist target, but not everyone is gonna be as easy and loose lipped as I am.
