Call it what you want but the limited supply of young, of-age sexually mature men and women available for a relationship and are not 1. preoccupied with their career, 2. unhealthy, 3. financially insecure, is slim. When women date men, they practice something called hypergamy. Typically, women want to date men that are 'above' them in the social ladder. They look for someone who: is financially stable, attractive and fit. The minority of that minority actually pursue a marriage and as a woman, your age limits your ability to find a mate. That is the gene pool. The small portion of the population that is ready to 'settle down' and have children. Since the United States has a fertility rate of 1.78, it is still below replacement rate.

You think they'd just adopt some offspring from another nation? The premise of human civilization has always been reproduction. Without it there is no life.

 I have nothing against antinatalists. If you want to remove yourself from the gene river go ahead. The birth rate of the United States in 1990 was 2.08, above replacement. In 2000: 2.03 2010: 1.93 2020: 1.64. Similar figures around the world show a declining birthrate not exclusive to countries that have adopted capitalism. So, is it a culture issue? Why are birthrates falling globally? What invention of the past 20 years drastically changed human civilization?
Computers and phones. We haven't had this technology for a very long time, and I think it changed the very fabric humans use to communicate. Instead of computers adapting to humans, we adapted to computers and their communication style.

Capitalism is a success story, and continues to be. The question is: will it stand the test of time? It already has. Athens was capitalist. The economic foundation of Rome was capitalist-based. So we know that the culture surrounding capitalism DOES work, the government that rules is just as important.
