Looksmaxxing.. I had to look that one up.

"Practices associated with hardmaxxing include getting implants or limb-lengthening surgeries, intentionally starving oneself ("starvemaxxing"), using moisturizers to attempt to appear more white ("whitemaxxing"), and withholding sexual climax in an effort to boost testosterone ("edging").[4][5] An additional method, known as "bonesmashing", refers to the act of hitting one's face against objects such as a hammer in order to create a "chiselled look". "

Bonesmashing. That sounds healthy.

It's a joke, right?

...Hunter eyes. People want eyes that look predatory. What the fuck am I reading?

Self abuse in the name of beauty is not a new thing, there's been people removing ribs and shit to try to achieve a certain look.

It however is becoming more and more about men.

This was the next logical step after Metrosexuality, and it's not too far of a departure motivation-wise from people who go to the gym for 'a certain look'. It starts with being about their Sexual Market Value and then goes off the rails as it hits the point of self-doubt and obsession, wondering where and when it'll be that they shaved the knife too thin. With a group of likeminded individuals and their own lexicon of words and ideals, it's really easy for someone to get sucked into it via insulation.

Some of these people are simply happy that they can take these steps to feel average looking

I used to think things like Buddhism are key to happiness, which to some degree perhaps it is, but now I think it's OK to be unhappy. It's part of life, like a signal for us to move. What matters I think is our purpose. Spatial you think it's love? Maybe. I think there's something else. I think something I'm on the verge of understanding. I can feel it. It's certainly interesting how we're both at least somewhat theistic and share so much of the world view yet have different answers to the ultimate question.

..But I'd definitely subscribe to things like world peace and love for all. Whatever life's meaning is, making the lives of those around you fulfilling must be a step in it.

 Real love. Not the gimmick that we hear about in the media, but rather the Biblical description.

1 Corinthians 13 said:

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind;

love does not envy or boast;

it is not arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way;

it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.

As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

 All of these are key to creation and progress. When things are made with love they turn out better. A game developer is holding back the game, because the directory says it's not ready. Game comes out and it's a best selling masterpiece. Or even if it wasn't a hit, it's certainly better than it would have been. We see games that are based on movies and that are utter trash and why ? They're made for profit. Because it makes money, so they'll take off the shelf game mechanics and assets and strap together a piece of shit and you have Avatar the game, but unlike Avatar the Movie which was made with a type of passion/love, the game is a piece of trash. The same is true with music and movies, technology or anything we've done.

There's more to life than just this, but this is the most important thing. If we were emotionless we'd have no bed to get up from in the morning or we wouldn't even exist and made it this far.

I do think life is a part of our making, and we're co-creating ourselves, and we'll have forever. At that time we'll get all the answers, and while we're all knowing, we might regret dedicating this life to chasing after some other purpose while serving the highest purpose already. If we are setting in stone our eternity, then this is without a doubt the highest priority. We can go down in history and be the greatest inventor ever like Tesla, or discover scientific breakthroughs and make the world a better place, but in the end it what mattered most is, are we good to be around others for eternity or not.

Eternity is everyone for eternity. Timelessness. We'll basically will have unlimited access to everyone Even God. This life of course now is temporary. Even the body doesn't really belong to us, it's borrowed.
