Sure, in the common vernacular “he assaulted me” is used to mean he laid his hands on me but that is incorrect given the overarching definition where they REALLY SPLIT HAIRS in the litmus tests for whether there was violence or just the “threat” of violence. That is why Chapo says assault is loosely defined or nebulous— and I don’t blame him
