Yeah, this one is nice.
I would say run don't walk to you local TJ Max's, Marshalls, Homegoods. They have stocked halloween just this week, and its running out QUICK my guy, very quick. The prices are very good and the goods are good. They've got some nice quality things for the low. It is *a lot* to sort through I won't lie though.
I found some really good stuff by digging a little, looking in all the hidden places. It's kind of like a treasure hunt.
They had repeat items I've seen in mass at nordstrom rack, for *less* than nordstrom racks prices, which were already half off. Great stuff so far this fall.
I will post a haul and in-store stock photos in a bit, it was like, a little bit of 'overload' there was so much to take in so, I didn't take pictures of everything that I thought would of be of interest, but I did try to get a lot of that in there.
In the meantime, enjoy Jade the Libra's "halloween hunting" who posts content along similar lines to what I'm interested in posting about here right now
Also, anyone excited for halloween this year, any festivities planned? Planning on decorating any? If so, do you have a theme or a vision of how you want to decorate? Do you switch it up every year, or have more of a set style you stick to in general that you just like. EX, orange and black theme or, white and pink pumpkins theme, etc. Are you a black and white gingham ass fall bitch, or more full gothic, etc.?

I noticed Halloween stuff appearing at the start of this month.
Kinda wtf about it personally, it was the start of August.
I hit up the other Marshall’s/Home Goods that is a much larger store, in a high traffic location, and it was so picked over…. I missed the boat on this one. Almost everything was gone, it was definitely in left overs mode already.
A few pleasant surprises still but… yeah. So I recommend hitting up the smaller lesser known locations as they’re not as ransacked. Mainstream stores not off the beaten path are… not anywhere near as good.
But it was fun treasure hunting.
Rest of the haul and “finds” pics coming soon.
Florida is the butt of the joke when it comes to retail stock, so we are the last to get things, and it may be the a bit “bottom Of the barrel” compared to other states. If you get restock day, which seems to be maybe Tuesdays but I’m not sure… you’ll see more. But basically how it works here is, once it’s stocked, same day, and, by the end of that week, it’s almost all gone.
The further south in Florida you go the worse this phenomenon gets, with the beaches and islands having the slimmest pickings from even main steam grocery stores, in comparison to the major city’s stock.
I remember during 2020 even Starbucks and Publix had a hard time keeping oatmilk and brown sugar in stock for some reason, there’d be week gaps where we just had none in the city lol
TJ Maxx
Juicy Couture Matching Set
2 Tops (Black, Pastel Pink) $10.99
5 Bottoms (Black, Pastel Pink, Hot Pink, Tan, Pastel Purple) $14.99
Unfortunately I threw away the tags, so I don't know the original price or proper product name on this one.
That’s the only thing that looks fashionable in any way and the price is way better than the other stuff you posted. Shop cheap. It’s way better for your wallet and your style.
Also, aren’t you rich? Why are you shopping at normal people stores? I mean… Rich in Florida isn’t the same as rich in an expensive place, so I get it, but other people think you’re rich, so… Just pointing it out.
Never got the impression she is “rich”. Maybe yeah to someone like Trypt, she is rich.
Honest Report on Nordstrom Rack
They have some decent quality brands, but I was unable to find anything that fit me. I am size small typically. All the best stuff they had to offer was only available in the larger sizes.
This is always a problem with stock, the size smalls of everything run out the fastest.
But yeah, with nordstrom rack I highly recommend trying on everything before you go, because the fit of a lot of their items was kind of bizarre. And then, wear it again at home for a bit, maybe take some photo or video in it to make sure it really has the fit you want. Before you take the tags off, and then return it when you realize it fits weird.
I found some really nice quality things, but they're just too big fit wise.
The shoes were really picked over. The bags section was the dryest I've ever seen it. The jewelry is mostly tacky costume jewelry.
The best they had to offer was the makeup section, which had 50% my favorite L'occitane products, and my favorite Mac lipsticks in from the powder kiss range. Only four shades... but, at least they were desirable wearable shades. However, TJ Maxx/Marshall's has the same exact lipsticks from Mac for an even lower price. At Nordstrom they were still $15 a piece.
Every now and then you find something good, but you really have to dig for it. It may be that my location is just really picked over, but I tried looking on the website and the stock available on there was even more limited... to put it nicely.
I really want to like Nordstrom, and I do like shopping there because you can find some decent quality things. But, you have to get lucky to find a goodie you really want, in your size.
And then they have random "hot items" that are kind of just a sensation at the time or just sell well, and they stock those in bulk for really cheap prices. Like half off Nest candles, and $10.00 white shorts that, were popular here in Florida in the summer. And those all sell really well.
And then there's just random junk scattered through out the store you definitely didn't come there for, that's really random. It's a nice store, on the surface and in concept, but, it's kind of flopping for me in the actual reality of its turn out right now. The options are dwindling, and in reality, a lot of it is over priced stuff that no one wanted in its first life somewhere else in retail.
I found a pretty alright leather jacket from ASOS, though it does fit quite boxy and it is a few sizes too large, I really just needed something thick. And it was quality wise, the right price like, the nordstrom rack price is what I would pay for it. It wasn't a $100.00 leather jacket in quality, but it was posing as one.
That's the honest truth, and I'm sorry it's a little bit bitter. But, hopefully they pick up the pace and some good stock comes through around the holidays. Christmas is the time of year to shop there, they really stock well during that whole season. I remember I hit it up one year after Christmas for those post-holiday sales, and again I just wanted the L'occitone and a really nice quality sweater I found that's original price was over $200.
The other truth I have to say about it is that it was a lot of winter wear, which I'm assuming came from up north. Realistically, here in Florida, we have almost zero need for anything heavy and thick. And a lot of the clothes there are quite, heavy and thick, stuff that you would really need if you lived in like, Chicago. It is 110 degrees here, we are good. We need bathing suits. There was very few bathing suits.
There was a neon green lime full body onesie suit. I'm like, what the fuck? Bye. And that sums it up.
Also I tried to burn the Nest candles and they burned really weird, almost like they were faulty. Ended up smelling more like burning smoke than the actual citrus scent I was hoping for. Was better off just melting the wax without the flame being lit, something about the wick was, not right. I don't know what happened, but I'm wondering if it was user error because someone left them in the car and they melted, before I burned them, so they may have been formulaically altered. Heat can significantly alter a chemical makeup of a product so.
The home section was meh, I saw some bowls I thought were kind of on trend, I wasn't head over heals about them necessarily but, they were at least related to what's in style, so I could see those maybe doing well. Especially because, everyone wants bowls to put halloween candy in this time of year.
