The ones who say they're good tend to not be, the ones who say they're bad people meanwhile tend to respond like that out of guilt that they 'aren't good enough'.

I disagree completely. It’s almost completely irrelevant to this discussion. The fact of the matter is I’ve been living on a property for over 7 years and I’ve put over 100k into it by working hard and essentially being a landlord by having roommates, while also having had issues that would have prevented most people from being able to do what I do. Meanwhile you’ve never actually accomplished anything more than a vacation or raising pets to my knowledge, at least as long as I’ve known you. If one of us suffers from this “effect” it is certainly you.
