I hate stuff with obvious logos. That’s just not fashion.

It's more of a status symbol, yeah.

It’s not ostentation it’s just tacky. It’s not a status symbol.

It represents a believed idea of worth, the symbols are meant to telegraph a perceived wealth range.

It's nonsense, but it is a result of successful marketing.

Just watched the Gucci Cruise 2024 show and I- wow

the second half music is absolutely beautiful and giving my chills

i have never seen a more beautifully done, artful and emotional runway show thus far

Chills. I have so much to say. There is a lot to talk about. Which is sort of the point of the show to me.

lots of new, lots of experimentation. Gucci is definitely here to make another lasting impression on an era of fashion to come. Leading the way forward boldly.

Wow. I won’t lie this show definitely impressed me. It’s very different while still being very gucci and staying true to their iconic brand and style.

Cruise isn’t even typically my favorite of the shows, for any brand. Though the pieces are fun.

I didn’t think you could outdo Chanel’s iconic cruise shows in Miami, but this might be standing to compete. Just wow. Lol

Normally brands seem to go smaller for cruise, but Gucci just went all out. And was like no no no, this is how you do cruise season. This is how you enjoy life. Wearing a pastel purple gown and sipping Chardonnay on the yacht off the coast of Italy. We know how to do cruise, trust me.

It’s kind of refreshing that cruise doesn’t look like spring and summer just threw up on the designs, and it’s more about embracing the time of year and the life style that goes with it. Dressing for the occasion, very well- not necessarily letting the season “theme” the way you dress.

Like wearing pumpkins in fall and hot Barbie pink in spring. Okay thats fun, but it’s overdone right.

This is reminding me of when JACQUEMUS line came out that looked like mostly linen? And everyone died for it.

It’s just a whole different stylistic take, a very selected chosen creative vein to take you down so it’s a whole experience that is unique rather than, predictable.

But still, wearable likable fashion, still a brand and it’s style.

gucci will always represent Italian style and design.

All the candy colored bags are adorable and gorgeous. Love them. Very wearable of course.

Priscilla Presley in Italia

This look is inspired by styles from Priscilla Presley during her summer vacation with Elvis @5:40 - 6:44

This morning I went and looked around at my local shops for fun, and even though I said I don't want to do the denim trend, because I know it won't last. This denim dress I saw is living rent free in my mind. Only saw one in store, hoping it was a small. I might have to go try it on and see. But yeah, I'm pretty certain this trend won't last very long so, it's just 'hot' in the moment and then will likely hang in my closet untouched once summer ends. But I have to say, this pretty much nailed it. It's 60s mod meets 2023 minimalism, with love for vintage and A-line figure hugging oh so popular mini dress looks. For spring/summer 23 this hit the mark. It's almost faintly reminding me of something Jacquemus would do, if it was just a bit more tailored. I could see Jacquemus or something doing a rendition of this, a little more tailoring, and Bella Hadid wearing it on the street.

Although, Bella Hadid has moved on from promoting Jacquemus and now has a collection with ABOUT YOU

These are just some of the looks from the BELLA X ABOUT YOU collection, which again I'm just loving all the vintage inspiration. I've recently become really inspired with Amy Winehouse style as well, from the early 2000s, as well as the 60s retro mod stuff, which Amy drew some of her style from.

I love how this is like 60s vintage, meets 2000s, meets coquette modern 2023 luxury European flare. It's very distinct. If you're familiar with Italian high fashion then you may understand this niche as well. Italian modern fashion is very retro inspired. Anyway, this is adorable, very high end, very well made, artistically interesting designer stuff to get inspired by.

Blanc, is there something to this that is just like, invisible to me?

I do not see the appeal, even while actively looking for it.

Oh like, in the “fashion” pieces I picked to talk about?

Well there’s one of two explanations for that

1. is I may just be really bad at fashion, this wouldn’t surprise me as I’ve always jokingly called myself fashion challenged. I often pick what the mannequin is wearing because I am not as good at creating looks as some people seem to be. Sort of like some people have a musical ear, or an eye for photography. I would be considered closer to tone deaf. Possibly.

Im not sure but this is very possible in my opinion.

or 2. My ideas are so niche and weird, it’s foreign to you. And the amount of effort it takes to make the vision I have about these styles come to life so you see it too, is so much work and is an art form in itself that is time consuming. It’s hard to get across the vision with a succinct post and copy pasting an image or two.

The things I like tend to be very weirdly subjective and I have reasons for all of it, but the reasons are extremely subjective. Like I like the denim dress because it’s reminiscent of amy winehouse, and I love Amy winehouse. I feel the same way about light washed jeans, because of Freddie mercury.

I have a lot of different genre’s as well that I will dabble in, some more than others, so that is probably confusing. It’s like, you only eat what you’re in the mood for, I do the same thing with fashion. Maybe one moment I really couldn’t crave anything more in the world than a peanut butter sandwich. Next year, I couldn’t stand to eat one.

It’s just kind of anything goes. I figure, I post what is inspiring my brain at that very moment. Maybe it will trigger inspiration and such in their brain, or maybe they’ll hate it. I would love to see, what others are feeling and inspired by too.
