But now, I wouldn't time travel for anything else but entertainment, i do not wish to live in another era past or future. Only as a vacation and i would go both ways equally.

I have a recurring dream where I get to go to the past and do it all again.
I think I'd choose past. Like restart and see how different life choices would've worked out. In fact, I feel confident I get to do this at one point. I will just go into the past and have a do-over. I feel like this will happen. And then it makes me think if I should change my life or not, and if I'm satisfied where I am. Would I choose to make the same choices, the same mistakes, or would I try something entirely different? I feel like I'd probably try something entirely different, but then I feel ashamed, because I feel like I should be grateful, and that I owe people.
Going into the future is already possible with near speed-of-light travel. However, going into the past is not.

Going back too far into the past will also suck. Imagine getting stuck in 1910. It would be worse the further back we go. We're too spoiled and conditioned, and addicted to the internet to endure hard times.
I wouldn’t think twice, the future is where it’s at. I’d take a gamble for 10k like Dragoon, or even further forward. Try to pin point the time where we’re still organic humans, but with the god-like tech, to solve shit like aging. I’d be instantly valuable and would want to get teched up with titanium limbs and a dark-matter powered digestive tract

Maybe sentimentality makes people value their one life more which makes it worth using the 1 time travel chance to try and mend things

Future no question, all the weird shit to be experienced is unbeatable. For eg I once accidentally ate whale in Japan, and it's fucking amazing. Ethics aside, they're onto something with the whales. Exotic lab-grown meats would be of interest, plus obviously space travel, getting cool cyborg implants that let you fly etc. This is assuming a future that doesn't see us all atomized in a nuclear holocaust lol
Plus if I wanted to get dystentery and die by getting kicked in the head by a horse, that's still an option in the present.
