Time machine: if you had the option to travel to another time would you pick the past or future? What era appeals to you and why?

Future, but only in small increments. I would fast forward through work to the worthwhile parts of my day.

People stuck in the past are depressed losers who will never be happy because they cannot enjoy the moment they are in or plan an enjoyable future. Case and point: Med.

Future, I'd rather be dumb like Fry in a world of innovation than smart like Bill & Ted in a world with significantly less to do.

The current state of AI has me pretty excited for where it's going.

I haven't contemplated AI much, although I'm using it more and more. What innovations are you excited about?

It shows me that the likelihood of jobs being replaced by machines is closer than I thought, and able to hit areas I thought were humans-only.

If i was german id go in the past.

But now, I wouldn't time travel for anything else but entertainment, i do not wish to live in another era past or future. Only as a vacation and i would go both ways equally.

Cheery bye!

I had the same thought. It's surprising how AI is already impacting those working with information/ideas. Robotics is displacing machinery/factory workers and AI will target office workers. What will be left?

I do enjoy my job. Work is still work, I prefer my free time over labor.
