Forever. With the option to suicide. I will finally have enough time to finish all my projects.
I second this sentiment. In the immortal words of Hob Gadling: I do not wish to die, there's so much to do, so many things to see. Though Hob is just a story, I resonate with his optimism toward the future. I have an insatiable thirst for information, and I am not content until I learn everything that there is to learn. Obviously its foolish but I am not religious so this is my reason to live. I also wish to see man make the same mistakes over and over, blind to the fact that he is recommitting these acts because his life is too short and he has forgotten his errors.
But most importantly, I wish to see man develop further. I wish to see the impossible technologies of science fiction amalgamate into reality, into our daily lives. I wish to be a part of that future because it is not only awe inspiring but it is opportunity for greatness.
(btw your response is literally the story of Hob Gadling in a nutshell, the man who dreamed to never die and so The Dreamlord granted his wish as approved by sister Death. The only catch was that every 100 years he must reconvene with Dream in that very bar to see if he still wished to not die)
