i agree i see it going somewhat in this direction, i liked the idea of like a cohesive group energy over the whole like, dictatorship-energy i get from good. i dont know if he was aware that was like, one of the main points of SC- at least, to me it was. lol like, i'm saying i dont know if this was ever communicated clearly by enough people for it to be set in stone. so, i don't blame anyone. i dont know too much that goes on with mods though.

I posted stats of traffic of SC when I ran it, but Good does not, so we will never know. I shared the stats good or bad because we were all in it together. Now this is a kingdom where the info is hidden from us by the person in charge.
My SC also had hundreds of updates over the years. We remade the site 3 times over. This place never changes. It is stagnant so there is nothing for users to even discuss. Good has a thread telling users to pay him if they want changes.
If you really cared about SC and this family we have made here TC, you would work harder to make it better. It's sad how you just wallow in this place your whole life without making improvements

He's posted stats in Discord. This is hardly a doctatorship. It's still a consensus; you might just not be in a majority. Perhaps consider being more vocal in your distaste instead of sulking.
I think Good's reasons are different for doing this. This is a hobby, not some showcase for him or in a portfolio, I imagine.
Eventually, the family leaves the nest. What are you hoping to continue or grow?
Innovation (or lack thereof) isn't what sets this place back on population growth.

It's twice as functional, if not more, and not having to deal with an admin mad with power has felt like a vacation.

You rebuilt it from the ground up multiple times, each time worse than before.

It does enough functionally, the real focus ought to be over drawing in a like-minded crowd.
What this place does not accomplish in sheer numbers, it instead succeeds in as a matter of brand loyalty as seen through attendance. It's like a family with the room to expand, and if you weren't so pushy about having to have everything go your way you'd be able to be a part of that too.

SC is my childhood. It should stay there. It's nice to return to see you from time to time, but I could never become an active member of this place. I do not join communities I am not leader of lol I just get myself banned because I have problems dealing with authority. That is why I gave mods so little power here... yet you guys undid all that and gave mods as much power as any other forum.
Good pinning his own posts too the top is essentially telling you he's above you, and his posts are not subject to the rules plebs have to follow. Tyranny is common and it's not interesting.

Do you know how many others here, past and present, have had similar struggles with authority?
If they did not, do you know how many come here to still otherwise avoid it?

What power do mods have here they didn't in your space though, stickies? What you did with it makes this place seem way more laid back.
I'm not even using that tool and an existing topic here's gone over how we plan to reduce it to two. We even stream movies here, integrated into the chat window, and in general the speed of this place is far superior to what yours was.
Speaking as a mod as well, THE TOOLS ACTUALLY WORK, I have not had to pretend they do unlike when I was on your forum even once.
