You cannot call feminism equalism that would be inaccurate. There is a reason it says FEMINISM with FEM in it.

It's because of it's origin rather than it's meaning, the term is over 100 years old. 

The implications of the term are over how women need a boost to catch up to men, that's the Fem- of Feminism. Beyond that you see additional words thrown next to it to go into what they believe the problems are and what they plan to do about it.

No. It is still the same movement only evolved and changed over time. As I said I am specifically talking about fourth wave feminism.

How is it not about equality to offer the same things to both sexes so that they can make their own choices? 

Even if one side has "natural advantages" or whatever, that will sort into occupational trends based on those predisposed likelihoods. Why should this be steered when it could sort itself out with the exceptions then being given the opportunity to be more than the expectation?

They go into the origins on these articles and entries to grant further context, the people who put those together are Etymologists and every piece plays a part in the meaning of a word.

Are they though?

I still see men in most top business positions due to their wealth, history, and status, and I still see far too many Men not showing nearly enough understanding of social etiquette, or even understanding of another's autonomy. They still need help through things like HR programs over not even seemingly having the foundation to build proper respect towards another woman as if they were a peer. 

In many cases I see men behaving recklessly around both genders, but where they believe they can put their dick affects their judgement.

I think I classify as a feminist, I believe in equal rights for all genders. 

But I'm not sure if I'm an active feminist, the most I do is try not to be a part of the issues? Which is hard because we all perpetuate them, from pushing gender biases to neglecting homeless people and maintaining stereotypes for men and women. The question with issues is also, is something more of a feminist issue than not? Homelessness for example you could say is a very big topic for feminism. The majority of people suffering it are men, and the women that are homeless have no access to specific treatments and help tailored to their gender. So how is it a gender topic rather than just a human topic? Or am I wrong for calling homessness a feminist issue, is it more of an umbrella term in which feminist issues reside, like for example homeless women being abused?

At that point it becomes complicated to select what is and isn't feminist, which plays a role in my confusion. The scope of feminism has been diluted greatly so while I am on board with the premise and plenty of the established applications, pushing it further becomes a tangled mess of labels.
