I really don't understand the amount of superstition. It makes me wonder if it's just petty modern social cannibalism which is so prevalent.
People get away with worse if they are winners, such as the literal cannibal of Japan that got away with it because it happened in a foreign country or the wealth hierarchy that get away with virtually anything also depending on how high up they are.
If anything I think from a biological standpoint that this moralist behavior is mimicry. So it appeals to, for example, autistic people that do actually care and have a noble sense about them, in which they will be misled into thinking that normies care about something, when in fact they are just preying on losers such as Chris and punching down.
You will notice all of this morality and judgement or whatever you call it as simply a disguise for punching down.
