Also, it's on the parents to teach kids how to avoid child molestors, and to fight them.

Parents can't fully counteract what kids learn in school, they still end up exposed to it.

Again, if parents had to sign a waiver for this, like is standard for sex ed, then it gets a little less weird... but still kinda weird.

So yeah, I'm also a little pleasantly surprised that these 14 yo kids don't know what a butt plug is for.

I'm also a little concerned.

Even with me watching porn as a kid I didn't have much exposure to the idea of that until later.

Porn at the start was a lot more vanilla, and with it so too went my imagination. Whereas I had to find my kinks on my own through exploring with open minded people, porn these days is straight up conditioning a new norm where the Hardcore genre is seen as the new Vanilla.

And keeping people ignorant was never a solution to anything, except the problem of keeping ppl who don't deserve power in power.

So you'd be like how my folks were and let me watch Beavis and Butthead when I'm five, followed by South Park and The Man Show when I'm seven?

And yeah, far worse happens in some private schools.

Not often, the class size is small and the parents can afford to sue the school.

Designer drugs

Tends to be related to their environment more than the school.

neo nazi groups.

Tends to be related to right wing schools.

hazing and rape for starters.

Tends to be more common in public schools, but also less reported.

It depends on the kid.

I'm quite prudish about sex and violence, actually.

More so with the violence than the sex.

I wouldn't expose kids to it, but if they have questions about smthg their friends showed them, I would (hopefully) give w/e explanations they need.

And The Man Show ffs?

Misogynistic trash like that would never be acceptable in my house  :P

In my case my folks would watch it with me a few times and we'd have a lengthy discussion about it's themes and my opinions on the material.

They quickly picked up that I wasn't really registering the more concerning material if not reimagining some version of it that made more sense to me, or at points from watching it I would even end up demonizing it, even as a kid, from the problems being so obvious (like the case with The Man Show). They did a really good job at facilitating communication and it opened the floor for them to see more about who I was, I always felt like they'd have answers to my questions and they demonstrated enough trust in me to have me feel less weird talking to them about things.

Well, most things.

Yes. That tends to happen with kids.

It's only in the last few years that I'm re examining how raunchy seemingly innocuous shows like Three's Company and Grease were.

I saw Grease at the drive in when I was 5 lol and I totally missed most of the raunch.

I watched Three's Company all the time. It was way funnier than I thought when I was 10 and 14.

I missed most of the jokes and only noticed the slapstick as a kid.

Lol I saw the problem with Three's Company immediately, but more broadly than now where I can say it's not just provocative, but underlies a theme of sexual tension that rubs off potentially on the audience through relating to the main character, rather than the two roommates that felt less fleshed out in the writing.

Grease is somehow forward yet subtler, the musical format makes it feel less weird until how they resolve the plot by the end of it.

Jack Tripper was an apt name for an expert tumbler, he fell over a lot.

I feel like that show didn't really challenge John Ritter, having seen him in other work since then shows he has a fairly broad range. His work as Ted in Buffy the Vampire Slayer was good shit:

Yes  :)

That show brought out the best of every actor who took part  :)

It was always one of my favourites.

Notice how they hand out butt plugs and dildos, but nothing for straight guys.

Sex is for reproduction. That is it's only purpose. The firey passion simmers down with age, while the wiser self recognizes it more clearly for what it is.

The most important orgasm is the straight man's, while one might suggest it's the only important climax.

If the LGBTQ had it's way, we'll see the last generation before our imminent extinction.

For now it's dildos and but plugs, and fruity crossdressing men grooming children to be queer, while the straight man is an outcast LOL.
