Banning semi-automatic weapons is like giving mentally ill homicidal kids another hoop to jump through. They will find another way to get what they want.

In the meantime, the gun ban would fetishize these weapons in a potentially dangerous way. And I think are too many guns to clear out of rotation. Being able to revolt against your government is kind of based anyways.

another argument i forgot to cover. when there's a ban there's less circulation in the long run. guns don't have to be taken to begin with, they just have to become lost with time or confiscated when they aren't prepared if they aren't willing to comply with civilized laws. 

i've already covered that americans aren't able to revolt if anything they are less able to revolt because counter protesters shoot actual protestors who actually revolt instead of throwing a boomer tantrum as safely as possible.

480 million isn't even that big of a number nowadays and the ones that are semi-auto are a percentage of them even if it's a high percentage. Guns do need maintainence at some point especially if they are not kept dry and oiled. 3-d guns suck.
