no,  I am more thinking along the lines of that being a satanist can mean a lot of different things to different people  (and can even just mean not believing in and not worshipping the christian and judaic god),  like your ideals and values are still your own whether you are a satanist or not unless you are following some sort of manmade religious practice

 Pretty much yea, most satanists I hear of don't believe in Satan himself just use the idea as an allegory for well whatever they characterize him as. If there was any form of Satanism I didn't like. For me, I despise LaVeyan Satanism.

It's more like from a Christian perspective that almost everything else is of Satan, since it promotes a false god. If you ask them, most would not say they are of Satan, I mostly do that over how they would deem that of me anyway by default so why not roll with it? 

When you look at it from the other side of it meanwhile you end up with an entire tapestry of choices.
