How long have you been off the meds now?

I know, it's kind of relevant, thus: she won't say.

Lol I said on the 1st page I quoted and replied to your question.

been off 4 months I want to say.

this thread is why I miss lexapro. It calmed all of “this” down. Lol

Well, now you are clearly going through a whole lot of "dip switch" changes in yourself.  You're both reeling from changes in your neurochemistry while trying to use that same neurochemistry to adjust to itself.  It's time to use ways to re-habituate in a more healthy manner or you might reinforce different behaviors.

You're going to have to cope with more now...  So while you're opining the changes, the strategies you are thinking of should be definitely considered practically and seriously.

Or else you'll have to get in a pool and seek deliverance!

Yes I agree with this and I figured some of the like “coloring outside the lines” my brain is doing from time to time is likely a direct result of coming off this medication and it’s all a transition and, I figured things would smooth out more eventually with time but. Yeah.

implementing a strategy to it all and being very mindful is important at this time

It's fine to say it, but, of course, how much do you interanalize?  Usually, you'll parcel out things and then discard them or pass them off.  There might be genuine people trying to offer you insight and help.

Have to remind myself. You choose things.

Like sure, things happen to you. But you choose your life and what is being made of that.

Why does being told we're in control work towards pacification? It's totally a thing for people, but being in control of stuff personally isn't really fun either

in this case it is a call to action to seek out change or align yourself with possibilities that will allow for it, rather than enduring a circumstance and then complaining about it. It’s taking responsibility.

What are you taking responsibility for then?

It’s sort of in line with the whole thing: What do you want? Okay, and what are you doing to get it.

Is this you then trying to say that you are where you are because you wanted to be here, and therefor everything you have must be things you want?

No I’m saying that, what you are doing in life, is a direct cause of what you get in life. So, if you are dissatisfied with what you got- it’s because of what you are doing. A reminder to take a look at what you do, and a reminder what you get is a direct by product of the effort or actions etc you put in.

Couldn't someone change nothing about what their doing, other than their perception of it, and end up with the same thing being better or worse?

I see it less about the 'what' and more about how it's taken. A debbie downer for instance could find no fun in some of the best things life has to offer just as another creatively desperate optimist could make watching paint dry be fun.
