Okay I feel laziness setting in, so this might be easier to keep short than I thought.
Vevo's post-production team is insanely sensitive to stimulus, they recognize from how much things budge them how to make it move others, but over the audience not being as aware of the effects it'll happen more subtly to them. With headphones you can hear their remastering techniques on the audio to make it not just clearer, but move in such a way as to produce synesthetic responses when paired with everything else. Rather than just being a song, their work aims to have all of the senses work together and, in the end, it produces something strangely hypnotic.
Their visuals aren't just bright or colorful, but that is a part of it. They understand psychological color theory and framing to such a degree that they use these designs to grab you and make you look where they want you to look, then when looking there they often like to pull at more primal symbolism. Things like jiggling asses or zooming in on melting ice cream or whipped cream as it's being sprayed out is not just there to be visual, but to suggest things the longer it's focused on similar to how food commercials try to suggest hunger with greasy food imagery like burgers. These videos are often made to sell a lifestyle as well as some of the merch they put in their videos, and they are working through associations rather than direct communication.

With the use of low dose psychoactive substances, a lot of art can change as you become more sensitive to it, but the modern art design that's been proliferating more since Lean was becoming more popular has very overt, purposeful steering in every frame and note of the piece. It's similar to what Graphic Designers learn, but mixed with sound design and film techniques that span as far back as the 60s and 70s being boosted through very sophisticated software and a more modern understanding of binaural manipulation. It's nuts what you can do on a computer now, and the artists at Vevo are very sensitive to the medium to the point of mastering it unlike we've seen as commonly before it.
If someone's going to make conspiracies about hypnotic suggestion, like that of MK Ultra and whatever, Vevo's a more realistic thing to worry about. We've even seen other artists of the modern day aim to sarcastically subvert suggestive media by suggesting just enough to make you uncomfortable:
You can also pick up musical steering very often in lyrics. Stuff like "Just breathe" and "It's alright" are by design literally conditioning the listener to accept commands, and you can see what songs "Big Music" is telling us is popular in ways that demonstrate sociological trends.
