You'd be surprised how far cops can and will go before giving up on a case. Just dialing 911 and hanging up rapidly is enough to get them to come to your house, and they will ask lots of questions over suspecting assault or other such problems without prior reason to. 

Now just imagine how it'd be if they had countless pages of your rambles and BR confirming enough of them?
