If you're worried that a dinosaur will come to eat you, what do you think happens next?

Jurassic Park dreams maybe?

Can you anticipate the change in the dream? Like the thought of a dinosaur crosses your mind and you go into panic mode knowing a dinosaur will show up soon because you fucked up?

Subconsciously there's some indicator that my own thoughts are fighting me, and sometimes I'll try to actively stop thinking as much to try to avoid getting 'the director' or whatever to notice.

So you dumb yourself down? Do the people in your dreams start treating you differently when you compartmentalize your thoughts? What if the director notices that's what you're doing and tries to draw your attention to something? Do you ever criticize the director's artistic sense in your dreams, or does the sense of danger in your dreams dull your impulse to be critical?

So your dreams are more like coconut or peach rather than an onion. What fruit or vegetable do you think best describes your dreams?

What?

What is unclear?

Fruits and veggies? Wha?

What?

No, I try to actively distract surface level thinking:

Do the people in your dreams start treating you differently when you compartmentalize your thoughts?

They must be, but for how much I can tell that depends on the nature of the dream. Past a point it'd be 'unrealistic' for them to all know my thoughts, but some can.

What if the director notices that's what you're doing and tries to draw your attention to something? Do you ever criticize the director's artistic sense in your dreams, or does the sense of danger in your dreams dull your impulse to be critical?

I'm not consciously aware of the directing force beyond the presumption that it's using my own thoughts against me.

Sometimes when I wake up from a dream, I'll immediately write a note in my phone so later I can recall visual portions. These are notes from two of them.

1:

Trying to smuggle wife's friend past Arabian guards, we're on a floating platform (think Mario 64) descending, she is under a blanket on top of him laying down. Platform stops, one of the guards calls attention to the size under the blanket. I tell him how dare he insult a sultan, he is "rotund as he should be"

Riding the bus home second day from last day of school with Kathy driving. Had a piece of paper I came in but didn't toss it before bus started traveling. Kept hiding it, thinking of a stop and how to toss it (no solutions). Fat kid behind me that looks like the guy from the rock tears a piece of it trying to get it from me to blow his nose. He does and there's no problem

2:

Went running down to Drug Mart or the liquor store to buy alcohol. Stop at a party but leave

Get back grandpa is rambling. Get a ride to buy alcohol. Car crashes in front of us on the way. Gets totaled, we go around. Cops yelling "we got you motherfucker". Driving through woods and yards

Finally get to an exit, cops say it's alright we took yards because no roundabout way out. Serial killer who was in or caused accident pans to camera view, gives a speech. "Rabbis marry the best girls, then cops get the next. Is being a cop and moral really the right then when you're crippled after I'm done with you?"

No, I try to actively distract surface level thinking:

Is it because a jedi in your past loved you so much you that you started to think you didn't deserve it so you started to hide your feelings, even from the entities in your dreams, because you were afraid it will hurt you if the truth is used against you?

Do the people in your dreams start treating you differently when you compartmentalize your thoughts?

They must be, but for how much I can tell that depends on the nature of the dream. Past a point it'd be 'unrealistic' for them to all know my thoughts, but some can.

Are you ever afraid they know exactly what it is you're planning and all of it is in vain so you just give up and simply let yourself be swept away by the dream?

What if the director notices that's what you're doing and tries to draw your attention to something? Do you ever criticize the director's artistic sense in your dreams, or does the sense of danger in your dreams dull your impulse to be critical?

I'm not consciously aware of the directing force beyond the presumption that it's using my own thoughts against me.

Do you think it's doing a good job, or would you have improvement suggestion for the director, or the meta-director?

Why do rabbis marry the best girls lol? The cops get the next best ones?

Are your dreams always this chaotic?

Had some lucid dreams, usually I wake up immediately after realizing I'm dreaming, something absurd happens and I realize, "wait, this shit isn't real". But had one where I couldn't wake up after knowing I was dreaming. I panicked in some suburb at night and started screaming to wake up, which eventually did happen.

Most mindfucked dream was one where I kept "waking up" in the exact same way. Each time I would do something to check if I was really awake, only for something surreal to happen or to just wake up again. This happened a ton of times, and when I finally did wake up, it did look like what I had been dreaming. There was a moment where I was unsure and everything had to click.

No explanation given, that's just what he said.

Not really, many are very mundane. Walking around a city or whatever, everything is normal.

Have you ever tried dream journal?

Do you get horror dreams?

How do you know you're not dreaming now?
