Okay so… in section 12B, we have fire themed dreams. In the middle area is the zombie apocalypse section. To the left we have the more avantgarde pieces that are fantastical ethereal and involve magic & the supernatural, and then in the back is sci-fi time travel deep space and interdimensional beings

in the front is our misc section where we have dreams with ‘unusual structures and story lines’ and ‘conceptual imagery’

oh and almost forgot our celebrity section, now featuring Kurt cobains never before seen dead body, Jimi Hendrix doing cocaine and a rare pre-fame nirvana concert in Seattle Washington

At least your dreams sound uncreative and predictable.

i've def had a few interesting ones that i would consider a tad bit out of the norm. they're just, a lot to explain. each one would take an hour to type out? but i could try to sum up their concepts as best i can to see if you find them a little creative or if thats still predictable to you.

>unfolding frames (dimension hopping through by climbing through arial view infinitely expanding spiraling frames within frames within frames etc.)

>'the song that never ends' dream where basically you can't stop hearing this song in your head and if you try to escape it by thinking free thoughts that are outside that song the song will start to kill you- and you try to escape it though that is not allowed it will start to kill you as well (wtf lol) like, you'll start to get a really overwhelming headache that is just blaring and seering pain until it kills you because you tried to escape the repeating song

>had a dream once about a woman with a giant hole in her stomach, also, a man with no face and no arms. those were disturbing.

>the 'new planets' i visited were really fucking weird and quite a euphoric experience

>spent 40 years on a space craft once (in one night) and when i woke up i missed my 'crew' as if i knew them like real people and was sad i would never see them again because they felt so real 😂

>walking into mirrors and walls

>some very elaborate dream where this guy was recruiting people with special powers and putting them through these challenges and then whoever won the challenge got to go to the next level but it turns out the guy was melovolent and was actually killing or harming the people who were 'winning' and then disposing of them- he was looking for certain ones that were more powerful than normal and essentially taking them, and i dont' know what he was doing with them whether he killed them or what, purpose he was using them for but they dissapeared so i entered the challenges under cover and was trying to get into the buildings and going through papers and locked doors and shit trying to find the people who had dissappeared. he was also vaccinating people and the vaccines were bad and putting people into coma's.

>a dream about a post-war world in severe late stage economic failure where everything has gone apocalypse mode.

>other dreams are weird concepts like, the dream is repeating itself and you have to do each stage properly to get to stop something bad from happening that you know is going to happen- other people in the dream aren't aware you are essentially a time traveler but. you keep fucking up and having to restart it? and its like, there is pressure like you are running out of time.

>dreams about the illuminati and witch covens

one time i was on drugs and i dreamt of some infinite geometric shapes that were perfectly interlocking, sort of like those famous MC Escher motifs (artist) but more geometric and rudimentary than his work. but, when i tried to replicate them the next morning on paper it was not physically possible. like, the shape worked in that dream realm, but in reality it was not possible.

i forgot to mention shooter/bombing dreams and water dreams. i have had a lot of dreams involving water and alligators.

oh and then bird box dreams, where i'm in the plot of bird box essentially. you know that movie. and then like, pandemic dreams (which is ironic) like, involving disease outbreaks and like, WAR and missiles and it's, a lot. like, people wearing gas masks and we live in communist china and there's robots and we live in these weird concrete domes and wear like space suits.

and then like, religious dreams wehre i like am visiting hell or, like, angels and weird flying orbs and white horses and things like that. sometimes the animals can talk as well.

and more.

Imagine watching a movie, a really really bad one where how bad everything is becomes increasingly cheesy and laughable, something MST3K worthy where you can quip at it every second as an audience member because it's that bad.

Now imagine if you were both the movie and the audience member, and the audience member's more like the director. Any corrective thought that occurs during the dream can also affect the environment, having the themes that'd normally give lucid levels of control do the opposite, limiting and jinxing the dream until it turns nightmarish and, therefor, allowed more of a wide berth for creativity.

It's like the director mechanic in Left 4 Dead.

Basically you're self-aware?

Yes and no, the more aware I become of the dream, the less control I have over it. I wouldn't call it self-awareness as that's more like lucidity, but there is some level of awareness over the dream that seems to make the dream try harder.

Does it get better or worse when people narrate what you do?

That shit's just goofy IRL, what makes the dream different is over how the environment responds to it.

Who narrates what the director and the audience does? Is there a meta-director, or have you not gone that far down the rabbit hole yet?

Nothing like that, I've had some strange dreams where I was more than one person without bridging that they were all the same person, and another one where the memory rewrite for character context as a me from another timeline was so loud that it semi-stuck the next day when waking up, but yeah nothing three layers deep like that.

Do you self-sabotage?

If you're worried that a dinosaur will come to eat you, what do you think happens next?

So your dreams are more like coconut or peach rather than an onion. What fruit or vegetable do you think best describes your dreams?

Not really, it's probably closer to a presumption of difficulty = reality.

Jurassic Park dreams maybe?

Last night, the only portion of the dream I remember clearly is...

I was in some collapsed ruins in a desert setting.  There were archway/doorways surrounding a courtyard or entryway of sorts.  It was twilight.  I turned to see a white-cloaked figure holding something pass by one of the archways on the outside of the ruins, followed by another one at a different archway.  It seemed they were surrounding the place.  I could feel I was in danger, so I bolted out the larger archway at the front of the ruins.

As soon as I made a run for it, I could hear the cloaked figures make an inhuman roar in unison, and I could see them engage in pursuit.  Apparently, I was also armed with a handgun, so just as I was exiting the ruins, I opened fire on the closest figure, which was to my right.  I hit it twice in the head, but it only seemed to daze it, while the hood dropped to reveal a red-skinned, inhuman head.  I continued to fire at other pursuers, the nearest first, but body shots didn't even slow them down.

I lobbed a grenade behind me, but the blast and sound and sand didn't allow me to see if it had an effect, as I continued being busy trying to run away.  I threw another, then tried to reload as I ran.

As I turned to run, I managed to catch sight of one of the red-skinned, white-cloaked creatures leaping at me, with a large, curved white blade (almost like a giant tooth).  Somehow, I caught the blade (apparently just for stabbing, with no edge, because it didn't seem to cut), even though it pierced my shoulder...

...And then I woke up.

It all seemed to happen within a few minutes of dream-time.  Nothing I watched or read or did that day really had any relatedness to this, as far as I can remember.

In many of my dreams, there is usually a semi-awareness of the dream-state.  It's reflexive that I will be able to fly...  I can just step into the air, like stepping on a stair, but then just defy gravity and from there gain flight.  I usually can just have telekinesis or strength or invulnerability, fairly reflexively, but still sub-lucid dreaming.  There is also a vague sense that I can always wake up, sort of like a trapdoor/escape hatch, any time.

However, the most disturbing experience I had was encountering what seemed like a wicked telepath in my dream.  It was literally that voice in my head, knowing all the things I described above about me and my dreaming self.  It was such that they refused to let me wake up without incredible effort.

The feeling of them in my mind and the voice they had, was a sense of getting closer, as though they were trying to be the one to wake up instead of me.

That dream, after I woke up, disturbed me for a few days.

Can you anticipate the change in the dream? Like the thought of a dinosaur crosses your mind and you go into panic mode knowing a dinosaur will show up soon because you fucked up?

What?

What is unclear?

Subconsciously there's some indicator that my own thoughts are fighting me, and sometimes I'll try to actively stop thinking as much to try to avoid getting 'the director' or whatever to notice.

Fruits and veggies? Wha?

Now narrate this in a storyteller voice and post the audio clip here, please?

When you were trapped in your dream, what did you do? Did you try to forcibly rattle your body around and squirm, or was the struggle more like a mental fight? What do you usually do to wake up? What do you think would have happened if you didn't resist? Would you have become the wicked telepath upon waking up? Do you think  you would still be trapped in the dream, while the wicked telepath roamed around Earth in your physical body?

How do we know you are who you say you are?
