Interesting things happen everyday, in other places and other forums. In here, not so much, but when it does, it puts a smile between our cheeks.

Luna's SC content wise was more extreme. For most of it's existence it was completely lawless, with the exception of CP.  ( CP brings ruin to lives simply by having it show up on one's screen ).

The Lawless SC, left room for more self exploration of the darker half. For me it's been a sharpening tool for tolerance and being more indifferent toward people and things I don't like.

Now, SC is simply about keeping tabs on people I can't trust once in awhile, or people who'd cheer at their own comrades downfall.

Other day my date told me about this doctor that gave her his card, and she looked him up and found he was on the news for sexual harassment charges. She showed me the article, and from the story we see how he made a comment to a couple about her riding her husband like a motorcycle, and another incident where he jokingly told a nurse to bend over his knee so he can spank her.

I then told my date how if a doctor did or said the same things to us, how we'd burst out laughing and lose no sleep over it. My date got really giddy and was like "I know !" This in spirit is SC's way. Mental strength, not weakness. I'm not particularly proud of SC, and I'm not very fond of many of you. But there are qualities found here the typical person can learn and utilize, because there is bullshit in the world. As for me there's nothing left here. The last thing I've learned from SC is that even my patience can be broken, but fortunately, this isn't forever so I'll last, until it's taken away again, one way or another.

This is seemingly a common position on the forum by older heads. It became about occasionally keeping tabs on the regular members. I think the reason Luna SC was more extreme was that she went out of her way to make sure the place was generating something to keep the dynamics fresh. In that sense she pushed the forum in different ways like a puppet master with the goal of making it interesting and fueling forum use. She had fun with it for awhile then got bored of her own creation and dropped it.

10 years ago Luna showed up at the Nabble forum which was hosting Socioworld's, or SW's forum.

That nabble forum was "thee" most vile thing to ever be online. 100% lawless. It was dark web. No moderation whatsoever. Make M.E. Thomas seem more of what she claimed to be.

Nabble announced making that section of it's forums into a paysite due to it containing adult content and no one wanted to pay for it, so it was going to close. ( Over some time Nabble made the old forum public again, while not too long ago now, they finally killed it )

Luna, was a noob to the site, she came in a few weeks before it's imminent destruction. I boast when I say I told Luna she'd end up doing something great, before she created a new site for M.E. A lot of the original members weren't too keen on joining Luna's forum, probably because they spent enough time and energy smacking her around. At 17 Luna had a strong head and wouldn't flee from cold and ridged characters online.

The point I'm making.

Luna's SC was rough, because she wanted to please the community. She was young and wanted to fit in and doing the community a solid. We liked having this place where we could go out of bounds or push buttons and pull levers nowhere else would allow. SC was eccentric in interesting ways, for real. It was a genuine psychological study. Those who learned to enjoy themselves in such a place found peace in chaos, which I think is good cause the world is chaotic.

I do believe, if we don't learn to find peace in chaos in this life, we won't be prepared for the reality of eternal timelessness, which will be an endless saga of good and bad. When I say snowflakes go to hell, I'm not asking or demanding it. I mean the snowflake will find themselves in a hell, because there's no such thing as "truths" only the truth.

Lol honestly when I joined I didn’t find the site to be vile at all. Where I came from was probably more vile but it was just a Skype chat.

"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it..."
"The only constant in life is change"

These quotes reflect what is thought to be a basic axiom of life; everything changes eventually. Be it people in your life, where you live, the climate, and ultimately yourself- you will probably be in quite a different set of circumstance 3 years from now. As time goes on its brutal churn it will take your surroundings, routines, and perceptions and transform them.

But SC seems to be some kinda of enigma. Surely, eventually an online community seems bound to make some kind of change. New casts of people come in, leadership changes, the people change as time goes on. But in the unique cade of SC, nothing seems to ultimately destroy the core aspects of what you might expect on your average SC visit. In a world of constant chaos and change, a band of misfits set out to create something that never changes; a shitpost that never comes to its conclusion. Steadfast in tone, SC allows you to interact with a fixed cast of people that don't seem keen on changing up their modus operandi.

What can one expect from their average visit to SC? It's fairly consistent. Same people, same issues, same beefs, same allies, same attitude, and same problems. As shown in often discussed 'SC ideals', resistance to change is imbedded in the DNA of the forum. And while new characters may enter the fray to subsequently stir up new mini dramas before being eaten alive and running for the hills, the main cast is fairly consistent. Like a band that never changes lineup; the same signature style that you know and love, but not much new comes to the table. It is subsequently the allure and the fatal flaw of the forum; you know what you're here for and what to expect, and you eat it up. But if you're looking for something more than what you see, you'll be disappointed.

How this place stays so consistent despite having a wide array of relatively mentally turbulent people is anybody's business. It is odd how little people respond to hard lessons in life, never taking the hint as the same mistakes are made and the same flaws persist. Typically, one should constantly seek to improve and develop oneself. To lock oneself into any one conviction that never changes is to cease the honing for improvement that is paramount to a healthy existence. Perhaps it just isn't their time in the great energy machine of the universe to improve their condition. But it's just an observation.

Regardless of its repetition, people seem content doing the same thing ad infinitum here and that's cool, but it probably gets stale to a lot of people, and if anybody is interested in the advancement of the forum or keeping it fun changes ought to be made. Just a suggestion. People get back what they put in be it by mind body and soul. This applies to more than just internet existence. Maybe someday in existence these people will be ready to progress.

I’ve changed a lot since I first got here. I only started meeting people from here like halfway through my existence on this site, so that’s a relatively new thing. I stopped meeting new guys now and am in a relationship that will likely lead to marriage. I’m on the right path for what I wanted from this site and I have learned from my mistakes. I have learned to be okay with fat and this have realized I ditched the wrong people for the wrong reasons, but I can’t go back, so I don’t know what to do anymore.

This place was full of cool people when I first joined and they all liked me, after barely any convincing because they were smart. Now it’s filled with haters and is lame, so I don’t know how people think that things don’t change.

They knew me better than you people do. They actually talked to me and asked questions that weren’t loaded. They just genuinely wanted to know how my brain works and they figured it out and were satisfied. They didn’t make any judgments about it. They just were like, cool and left it there. You people are more hungry for someone to hate and not just trying to figure people out. You want to know what you can hate about someone and not what you can understand, love and admire. A single trait that you don’t like makes that person irredeemable in your eyes. That wasn’t the case with them. They didn’t even care to figure out if there was something they could hate about me because they already found something to love and were content with stopping there.

No, they just had nicer things to say. Reaffirming your beliefs about yourself is all it was.

They actually talked to me and asked questions that weren’t loaded.

You mean when people quote your own words back at you?

They just genuinely wanted to know how my brain works and they figured it out and were satisfied. They didn’t make any judgments about it.

That's the thing, we get you now, you're old news and you've slept with like half the dudes here who've then reported further on your behaviors. There's no mystery anymore.

You people are more hungry for someone to hate and not just trying to figure people out.

No like really you've done some despicable stuff. If any of your victims were more coordinated they could have had you locked up.

You want to know what you can hate about someone and not what you can understand, love and admire. A single trait that you don’t like makes that person irredeemable in your eyes.

Pedophilia tends to not go well with people.

That wasn’t the case with them. They didn’t even care to figure out if there was something they could hate about me because they already found something to love and were content with stopping there.

Your rogue's gallery of dudes all follow the "Let them RP" model. They know they'll get laid if they don't interrupt your weird inner narrative, so they let you talk until they can get to fucking.

Then they learn later why to not stick they dick in crayzay.

^ This. Back in the day (2013 to 2015) there was a hint of truth to the things the trolls said.

Their humour was intelligent, with a beautiful bite.

People actually gave some thought to what they were posting.

Now it's the same boring script over and over.

It's like watching some old episode of SNL starring Steve Martin like 8000 times.

Like it's the apocalypse and some crappy old VHS tapes are all you have left.

Like you're Burgess Meredith in the library in the Twilight Zone and you keep stepping on your own glasses.

Except that guy was at least intelligent enough to be shocked and saddened by what had just happened.

You ppl just make up whatever and pantomime your ridiculous shit and go on spitting into the void year after year as if your beloved cast of characters from 2013 are still around and still give a shit lol

Tbh, I'm surprised that there were enough truly disturbed ppl here to breathe life into this place for this long.

However, the nutters who come here are coming up to the end of their natural life spans.

Most bona fide crazies don't make it to 45.

And this forum is not attracting new members.

It certainly won't make it another 10 years.

I'll be surprised if you lot manage to live for another 5 years.
