Taiwan is pretty amazing, yeah. It's such a serene place. I remember walking through this natural park, and the only thing I could hear was sound of a stream of water going down, frogs chilling by a pond, and some couple playing sports in the distance. The locals are incredibly friendly, in a genuine way, I really love Taiwan.

I remember walking thru this pond and park thing in Lok Fu (kowloon hong kong) and just enjoying the chirping noises and the smell after rain, then being interrupted by filipino maids talking loudly and laughing, following by me to yelling at them to stfu (which seems to have scared em enough to let me enjoy it in peace). They know how to set up environments.

The only thing is that I'm not sure if you want your kids to grow up in an Asian culture. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I think if I had a son, I'd want him to learn to be kind of assertive and independent in a way that isn't really facilitated by most Asian cultures. That's more of a personal thing, though. My sister says I'm sexist because I want to raise my son/daughter slightly differently, but whatever, my wife is alright with it so my sister doesn't get to have a say.

I have been talking to my therapist about that, he told me that because I felt like I was worthless I was looking for women who were "down" so I can feel in control in them since they are low value, since I started therapy I can appreciate how "pure" and good my wife is because she is not sex crazy like me and is able to feel deep emotions which makes me love and adore her even harder.

It's really nice to stroll at these Asian parks. It has something to do with that Japanese art which is supposed to make a place look natural. Like, they'd set up a tea room where they leave the pot slightly off to make it seem like it was left there by accident. That's their thing. Make things a bit messy and cozy on purpose. They do the same thing with gardens. Honestly, I'm not much of an art person, but these asian gardens, amazing, they feel really tranquil.

Yeah, they're the best. I did meet some dancing grandmas, and I randomly asked if I can dance with them. They taught me how to do this simple tap dance thing that I can still do. They were really cool about it. I'd love to be in Asia when I'm old, they look like they have a lot of fun.

I did. Favorite food? Hard to say. In Taiwan, most of the stuff was pretty amazing. I ate with some local friends most of the time so they recommended stuff for me. I'm bad with names, though. If you asked me for my favorite food in Japan, I loved these low-key noodle restaurants where there's this guy at the front desk cooking for you and giving you beer while it's kinda cold outside so the hot air from boiling the noodles makes you feel like you're in heaven. The high-end sushi places are overrated imho. In Taiwan, the best authentic local food was probably this beef brisket stuff; I also liked slurping on bubble tea like a moron whilst walking around the hot spring areas staring at old ladies boil themselves at 65 degrees. My favorite food is Sichuan-style food, but it's not Taiwanese ofc.

Things to do? As an experience, I liked the turtle island where I was snorkeling with some friends and also the hot springs, but really I loved just taking it all in, chilling at a park or so, making friends with locals. What place did you like the most?

Not so sure, they had some fights I guess, and I think he felt he was not ready to settle down. The thai girl thing I think was more of a fling. The Korean women (and men) I've met have been quite smart. I've never been to Korea, though, so most people I've only met abroad. You had a Korean girlfriend, though, right? You said it turned too serious or so?

I know the family ties in Korea are really strong. I've always been awkward around families since I never had a very good relationship with mine. I'd probably feel awkward about the family expectations.
