Controversial post in Hawaiian politics

So this Hawaiian woman who by the way lives in an apartment and owns a car while I am literally living in a tent, (I seen her around) was yelling at me at the farmers market about how my ancestors stole Hawaii.

I said do you know, where my ancestors were, when this shit was going down?

She starts being like "yes stealing my country!"

And I said Well, I'm jewish, so my ancestors were burning in a vat in the holocaust while this was happening.

She just gave me this blank confused look

Wow, it's almost as if you can't tell someone's entire family history by their skin tone.

And before you say "oh but the overthrow was many many years apart!" No. The taking of Hawaii was a long, gradual, painful thing that didn't just happen in one day. The holocaust was around the time just before Hawaii was made into a state, sealing it's fate.

During the "overthrow" my ancestors were in fucking Germany in some Jewish town somewhere not knowing Hawaii existed or caring if it did.

Hell, even my Sicilian great grandpa didn't fucking get here to the US until after the overthrow, during the overthrow, my family did not exist in america at all except for my native American relatives and that's literally less than one percent of my DNA.

It's all about skin tone, not even blaming people for whatever their ancestors may have done. It's just all skin tone.

Not every white person was involved with the overthrow.

It's not like every white person on the planet collectively took over Hawaii but that's what the politics here imply happened and that's bullshit.

Sometimes white privilege has to deal with the envy of others, if you'd had a less advantageous skin tone they wouldn't feel so comfortable talking to you about it.

I'm of a mixed view over how racists and the like are going to hate on people regardless of how thorough their education on the races are. Either they're going to be ignorant from just listening to their peers or they'll go the extra mile and do 4chan-esque research which honestly makes it worse oftentimes.

I live in a tent.

Skin tone is not the only factor in privilege.

So what makes you so racist?

It isn't, but it is still a factor at all even if in conjunction with other areas.

White people here who are poor are at a disadvantage to Hawaiians who are poor because of certain programs and also a lot of businesses prioritizing the hiring of Hawaiian people.

I have been denied jobs an specifically told it's because I am white

White privilege is a myth. I know a white guy who believes in white privilege, meanwhile he's broke and has no motivation to make money.

The one's who address this myth are left wing BLM angry types of people, mostly white people hating on white people.

In most US states whites are more likely to get a job because there are more white people in general. Hawaii happens to be a blue state even in the Trump era, where the left created the white privilege propaganda hoax, so the Hawaiian natives will push back on that for sure on top of complaining about getting owned by the US.

It's just so annoying, I may be white but I have no blood relationship with the people who overthrew this place at all. I actually got permission from the princess to move here because I saw it as immigration to a new country and I don't want to infringe on the rights of said country. She also said it's fine if I buy land and have my husband and children here.

Well, there you have it. Princess herself told me I could come. The niece of King Kamehameha the great and heir to the throne. Nothing more legit than that other than being born native Hawaiian if you are going to question if I should be here or not.

I was denied a job singing because they said they wanted a "native looking girl" to sing

They even said had I been anything other than white, they would have hired me

They will still look at you and figure you'd be able to find opportunities within the majority of the country.

They'd also be right.
