I think it's cos people think you shouldn't have the right to suicide yourself. That only a mentally ill person would seek to do that and allowing anyone to have the blueprints is very irresponsible.

It reminds me of the episode of Enterprise where they cloned Trip.
That one choked me up a little.
Directed by Levar Burton, ofc. His episodes always had an emotional punch that had to be more than just what the actors put into it. Like he brought out the best of everything the actors used to make the fans feel.
I think the pod was part of it.
It was tragic when Trip was in it bc fangirls love Trip.
When it's a pod for a stranger, it's just vaguely yucky and claustrophobic looking.
Making ppl pay for the service bothers me, too.

I agree on the free but also understand that 3d printing these things is somewhat expensive as is cleaning up the mess left behind and supplying nitrogen. I guess the free option is just jumping off a building.
