Why would we want more rules?
Cav and Sugar have been promoting how this place needs them, or at least that this place would be better off within a different system.
Spatial seems to agree with some of her ideas too.

The reason why doxes are taken down if requested is because it can potentially fuck with the usability of the site. It is to protect the site, not because anyone cares about the doxxed person. That's the Intel on that.
they should give a fuck
Down on Request isn't even that weird, it's done on other sites as a typical norm.
Speaking of other sites, there's like millions with far stricter rules. Why not just go there instead of trying to add rules here if that's otherwise what you desire out of your environment? The cesspool this place is makes it 'not like other websites', and that unique expression ought to be preserved instead of selling out (further).
You've outright said you don't aim to be friends with anyone here, and you've become excited multiple times when those you hate look like they might get either doxed or in trouble of a similar vein. Why should someone who doesn't even care about the people here, let alone can't follow their politics and baits, be who changes how the place functions?
thou shalt not dox
This means more in a place where doxes can happen imo.
If it's the norm that no one can do it they're just following rules, if they can and choose not to it's a statement of character.
By having the freedoms this place offers it gives more value to good deeds when they could have done something bad instead.
Oh good, I'd prefer your version.

true, although it would mean from this point on, no past doxing everyone gets a fresh new start
anyone who doxes someone from this point on, must be punished by not having their doxes taken down if that happens.
Can't do that, any reason to keep it up against their express wishes is subject to issue these days, hence us stopping the original SC tradition over dox material in the first place.
furthermore, instead of needing fucking "permission" to remove someone's dox, there should be an ok to keep it up. THANK YOU.
So just delete every photo of people until someone's like "actually mine's fine", with no ability to recover the lost data beyond myself having to archive the source code?
you could always save the data and out it back up, since, as good says, doxes are so rare now, it would be perfectly doable
That's a lot more effort than 'down on request', and yeah, your idea would mean me having to take down for instance the Billie Eilish photo I put up in the trans topic.
that's the beauty, from now on mods should also use something called "obvious common sense" like that Billie eilish wouldn't be a dox of a member here because obviously she isn't a member. unless she requested it...it would be more like, random fucking pics of random ass people that are probably members, or seeing people we ALREADY KNOW, ARE MEMBERS on here.

That never works, this forum requires uncommon sense.
So you'd just take down any photo of a random human?
