The reason why doxes are taken down if requested is because it can potentially fuck with the usability of the site. It is to protect the site, not because anyone cares about the doxxed person. That's the Intel on that.

you could always save the data and out it back up, since, as good says, doxes are so rare now, it would be perfectly doable

That's a lot more effort than 'down on request', and yeah, your idea would mean me having to take down for instance the Billie Eilish photo I put up in the trans topic.
