That explanation on their part seems like a stretch, they're taking a single passage that itself also further emphasizes the male issue with it over the female one to mean that it's equal to the sheer emphasis they've stressed about men being immoral. Why did they feel the need to stress the word 'men' if it's in fact a lesson both genders are meant to learn, when that could just as easily be accomplished with unisex statements if not statements that address both in the same statement?
If you take the texts by themselves there's a bizarre fixation against oppressing male homosexuality across the penmanship of multiple beings... while there is only a single passage that mostly just looks down upon women for it rather than equating them.
Nah dude, if you look into the past history of humanity it is rare for women to be like crazy sex addicts and super lustful and no inhibitions, it is more of a recent trend
How recent is recent then..?
There's plenty of history I can show you where women show a strong sexual drive. Haven't you ever heard the expression "Prostitution's the Oldest Profession"?
The Bible doesn't really do any justice to women either, typically saying that to find a good and trustworthy wife is rare while also showing stories from names like Eve, Lilith, Jezebel, Herodias, Athaliah, Maacah, Delilah, Sitidos and many others serve as examples time after time as to how women can't be trusted to make decisions on their own.
They have the audacity to say shit like:
Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. - 1 Timothy 2:11-15
To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” - Genesis 3:16
The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. - 1 Corinthians 14:34
