I'll be linking internet shaman stuff here, feel free to do the same.
IMO chaos magic is very cringy. It is always good to look at the people that practice teachings to judge a teaching. Chaos magick is practiced by people without discipline or structure and they accomplish nothing. They do not even train in the basics that are outlined even in basic chaos literature like Liber MMM. Discord wankers. It is 16 year old overweight teenager tier. Lodges are also cringy and ceremonial magic seems to miss the point often. But I have to say the people I met where I really had the feeling that they accomplished some powers had

2. Living transmission (lineage)
East or west does not matter. You learn magic from real people, not from books or from the internet.

Chaos Magic, like Dr. Who, is more at fault there over it's fanbase. We see Chaos Magic around us every day in the form of Graphic Design. For example:
It's effectively in commercials too, a conditioning of symbols that, without their programming of the mind, would not mean the same things. You can draw the McDonalds arches in most countries and someone who does not share a language with you will know what you're talking about, but if you were to try to show these 'golden arches' to people prior to McDonalds' existence it'd just be a yellow M-shape to them.
Even the combination of red and yellow on icons has been shown to increase the appetite of the viewer, there's a lot at work here that they call 'business practices' that is at points indistinguishable from the teachings present in so-called 'Magic'. As we see more and more people observe these 'Magic Tricks' they pull on us so too do people model off of it, as we can see present in ASMR videos and anything that uses abusive levels of Bass.

That's the thing though, real people are uploading their shit to the internet just as much as the ones trying to sell you something. As much as a lot of it's seemingly nonsense there are some patterns to how they think in spite of them reaching different conclusions, like a similar framework or something.
