Conformity is a Human Weakness
It stems from our need to be socially accepted, back when we needed the group to survive.
Do we still need each other? A little, but not so much any more.
Be a more independent thinker.
It's okay if you don't go along with the group. Be tough. Stand up for yourself. Not some sheep following the media.

An unwillingness to conform is weaker than a willingness to, but the middle ground in this case is ideal.
It's next-to impossible to be unique these days, there's too many people. Most people tend to be a collage of others' ideas thrown together into it's own shape.

I'll have to disagree with this. It takes a stronger person to stand up and walk out on a group. Safety in numbers, remember?
Take Snowden for example, do you think this guy is weak? It took some serious balls to do what he did and I thank him for it. Trump should have pardoned the guy.

This could literally be copypasta by how banal and repetitive the themes are, I'm just surprised you can't see that "non-conformity" is also conformity. Most people grow out of this phase.

People insist on saying they're "Above the herd", but it takes someone humble to say they're not. To accept that we're collages of everything that came before us, causally following a path outside of our control, strongly opposes the notion of being an "Individual".
To accept conformity within an informed perspective is more rare, imo.
