Love is a trick our hormones play on us, so our species won't eat itself :D
For me, that doesn't make it any less desirable. I LOVE love. But I know what it is, so if I think I'm feeling it, and it turns out there's a yucky manipulator (rather than my own nature) controlling the trick, I know enough to turn it off and get the fuck outta Dodge.
As far as friendship, partnership and marriage, knowing that our hormones play tricks on our perception, we need to look for people who would be well suited to running a household as if it were a business. And hell yes, I mean check resumes, make sure your potential husband/friend/partner is solvent, and able to take care of his/her own shit before you let him near yours.
Add looks into it if you plan on reproducing (I can't believe you let that ugly disease infected Turk father your kid...smh.)

Tbh, he seems stable enough financially, and he's reasonably good looking.
But he's an addict, with a likely PD or neurodivergence of some sort at the heart of his addiction. So fuck him silly if that's what you want to do. But don't count on him to be a good partner or a good dad. Most addicts are not to be trusted if there is anything they can sell within 50 feet of them. They'll pick your pockets and rob you blind to pay for their habits.
Jim has good genes, just a messed up brain. He used to look amazing as a kid, the drugs are what ruined him, and the food. Crack and meth are the worst for your looks and he used to have fun with those on the reg. He isn’t as bad as people think. He’s just a bit scarred by his childhood. Give him a break.
