it's an issue when a woman gets praised for the work mostly done by others, simply because she's a woman. if we're going to encourage women to work in STEM, exaggeration seems like the wrong way to do it

So he agrees that he is the primary developer, not what the media information says.

And I have a suspicion that he is exaggerating her work. I am sure she did well, just not as much as its said.
I looked at all the commits, didn't click on all of them, but I was trying to find 'the formula', but no luck.

Just wanted to be sure the information is not misunderstood. He wrote 7 tweets with almost no real content, just filler, like a politician.

I think the media definitely twisted the story, certainly a female lead would be more sensational to sell. But in other articles it is the group or scientists. I dont think she was claiming it was all her. Shes said it was the team. 

Its really about what news/media group you read it from.

it's unfortunate she has to get hate because other people wanted to use her to push the gender equality agenda. but maybe she should speak up and say she was part of a team instead of basking in the 15 minutes of fame

She did say she was part of a team and even took to face book to post about it.
