Seeking those who'd reject you just sounds like self-fulfilling prophecy to me.

Why not just lure someone into seeking you out?

Not a bpd thing. When you achieve shit you usually feel accomplished and the need to move into another goal. Driven people are like that, for certainly not the best partners, they are the ones that will likely put their work above family and friends.

It's an issue for those who then don't want the things they've accomplished once they have it.

Yeah, it starts to become a problem at some point. The real issue is when that’s the default, but you can’t stop it because you’re always too high to catch when it’s happening. Then you lose what you actually wanted because other people don’t get you or listen when you try to explain it to them.

Yeah, when you realize that you were chasing something only because you thought it was out of your reach, then when it becomes in your reach, you realized that you just kinda valued it for being out of reach. Crossed off list. Then moving on. And i dont know how to stop this, or if I want to. I am bored and empty when I don't follow my impulses.

Therein lies the problem.

You know you are wrong and twisting things to your own interpretation lol.

Once they reached their goal, in their mindset we both know their brain register as “ Done “ so they have their dopamine short lived and the ego asking for more, so they can add to their life achievements.

Jim is an interesting character which I like. Shitty background. Hard worker in his own form of way.  What I most like about him is that he has the risk taker quality and some humanity that you can relate to.

Some text book psychologist/psychiatrist would label him socio or even a psychopath due to his so called rapes.

I am sure that we will find new labels and names in the future and he is far from a text book socio, psycho, and narc. He has some sense of community. He is willing to share profits in scam when he could just have everything for him. He doesn’t fit any label we have right now to give him.

He is part of the more complicated part no one is willing to spend their life studying because nowadays the only ones who can pass diagnoses are bough by pharmaceutical companies.

Nah, I kind of agree with TC in a way. It doesn't have to be about hits of dopamine, I know plenty of people who are content with a chill baseline. Not everyone is chasing a dragon.
