That’s the other problem I don’t want a submissive man. I want a strong, dark un-manipulatable man. And when he worships me he uses his dominance to acquire me. But he is brave enough to say what he wants. Even when he begs its not submission it’s just being his weakness.

If he proposes he says “I am the one you want. No one else loves you as deeply as me, etc”. I don’t want a doormat. It’s hard to explain but Sylus from LIDS is a good example.

I'm going to assume you mean something more along the lines of "cherish" and not "worship" as him worshiping you would fall under the submissive category and he'll fail when shit tested.

From Reddit :

He is an upfront, reliable person who doesn't take shit from other people. He is comfortable in being affectionate, and his confidence allows him to be very straightforward about his feelings and any kind of things that should be communicated. He proved to be respectful of MC's choice and comfort.

In romance with him, there is no mystery in if he likes you or not. He doesn't hide the fact that he is all for you. He is the best choice for girls who value honest relationships without games and masks.

Looked at Sylus and measured him. The odds of a full package like him is 0.001% of the male population. Very difficult and damn near impossible to find, though his various traits are fairly common including his personality.

.

.

I know young women who never fell in love. They are the ones with many orbiters and options. I told them one day it'll happen and all the checkboxes will go out the window and how they'll accept him as he is if he's half decent. It still never happened to any of them. Maybe it never will, or maybe it'll happen when their well past their prime.

Beware of setting your standard too high, guys like that don't settle easily.

Okay how likely is it if we remove the need for him to have abs, or be a model. He can be 5/10. I’m looking for personality! Also doesn’t have to be rich just enough to support me if I don’t work (the option).

Re-run the math !

To be clear I cannot confirm any of this...

What are the odds of finding someone with Sylus's personality ?

Gemini said:

Finding someone with a personality exactly like Sylus (from Love and Deepspace) in the real world is extremely rare, close to a statistical anomaly.
While you can find people who possess individual traits of his, finding the complete package is highly unlikely due to how his character is constructed. Here is a realistic breakdown of the odds based on his core traits:

The Real-World Breakdown of His Traits

• The "Intimidating Alpha" Persona (Common): Finding someone who is assertive, highly confident, physically imposing, and possesses natural leadership or a "bad boy" aura is relatively common.
• The Unwavering Devotion & Safety (Rare): What makes Sylus unique is that his dangerous exterior completely melts into absolute protectiveness, emotional safety, and respect for your autonomy. In reality, highly dominant or aggressive personalities often struggle with the soft, deeply empathetic, and emotionally intelligent nuances that Sylus displays.
• The High-Stakes Lifestyle (A Fantasy): Sylus is a powerful, wealthy leader in a sci-fi underworld. In the real world, people with that level of power, wealth, or intense lifestyle rarely have the time, emotional availability, or mental stability to be a doting, attentive partner.

Why the Odds are So Low

Sylus is written using the "Dangerous but Safe" archetype. He is designed to trigger the thrill of danger while simultaneously providing the psychological comfort of absolute loyalty and protection. In real human psychology, traits like extreme ruthlessness/dominance and profound tenderness/emotional safety are often contradictory and rarely exist in the same person without toxic side effects.

What You Can Find

If you are looking for a real-world equivalent, you won't find a clone, but you can look for these realistic combinations:
• An intense, protective partner who expresses love through actions and shared banter.
• Someone with a dry, teasing sense of humor who enjoys playful power dynamics but respects your boundaries completely.
• A confident achiever who isn't intimidated by your strength and actively encourages you to grow.
The Verdict: If you are looking for the exact fictional cocktail of a literal underworld boss who looks like a dark angel and treats you like his entire universe, the odds are essentially zero. However, if you look for a real person who embodies his core green flags—confidence, protective instincts, and witty banter—your odds are much higher if you seek out emotionally mature, highly confident people.

Grok

Extremely low for a near-perfect match—closer to “lottery ticket with extra steps” than everyday odds.

Sylus (from Love and Deepspace) is a very specific fantasy package: calm, hyper-confident power that rarely sees anyone as a real threat; sharp strategic intelligence; thrill-seeking edge; unforgiving toward enemies but with a personal code (honors deals, doesn’t prey on the weak); sarcastic/teasing/smug delivery; and a soft underbelly that only fully appears for animals, “strays,” and the one person he bonds with. He’s protective, loyal once committed, refined in taste, and carries that classic dark-romance contrast of elegant menace + genuine care.

Why the odds are so low
The full combination is rare. High competence + genuine emotional depth + controlled intensity + selective softness isn’t common. A lot of people can do the confident/strategic or the protective/caring parts. Far fewer do both without the confidence tipping into arrogance, the protectiveness into control issues, or the softness never showing up.
Game characters are optimized. Sylus is written to hit the exact beats of the fantasy (power, devotion, banter, moral grayness that still feels principled). Real people have inconsistent days, unprocessed baggage, financial stress, social awkwardness, and ordinary limitations. The “always several steps ahead, never rattled, regenerates from anything, and somehow still has time for vinyl and injured birds” version doesn’t scale to real life.
Power + softness is hard to sustain. The imposing, slightly dangerous aura + actual tenderness is a tightrope. In the real world it often lands as either pure dominance (problematic) or someone who looks tough but is mostly just performative.
What’s more realistic
You can find pieces of it:

Confident, strategic, somewhat intense people who hate boredom and like control/competence.
People with a soft spot for animals or underdogs who keep a cooler exterior with most others.
Teasing, dry-humored partners who show up protectively once trust is there.
Morally gray types who still keep personal codes.
Close approximations exist, especially among people who are high-agency, a bit competitive or high-stakes in their work/lifestyle, and selective about who they let in. But the probability of someone who hits most of the Sylus checklist and is available, compatible with you, and stable enough for a relationship is low. Think single-digit percentages in the broader dating pool, and even lower if you’re filtering for the full intensity + emotional safety combo.

Practical takeaway

Treat Sylus as a preference list of traits rather than a checklist for a clone. Look for the core things that actually matter to you (competence + selective softness + loyalty + playful edge, for example) instead of the complete fantasy package. Real versions will be messier and less cinematic—but they can still be very good.

In short: exact Sylus is basically zero. Someone who gives you a solid portion of that energy without the red flags is uncommon but not impossible. The fantasy is fun precisely because it’s rare.

I asked about Sylus's creator which is credited to Papergames and their founder Yao Runhao who went from making dress up games to romance. Seems like they are brilliant when it comes to what woman like to see.

I've seen this character before.

I'd probably stare at the fucker too. Wouldn't hang out with the guy though, he'd make other guys look like potatoes.

I asked again about the math. Got some long winded replies from both models complete with charts and graphs, but in short Grok thinks the personality alone is 1 in 200 to 300. So there's hope, and if you get one, make him do sit ups.

Gemini suggested the personality is.....

• Percentage: 0.005% of the population.

• The Odds: 1 in 20,000.

Of course it gets worse when you throw in the whole package.

Does hypergamy ever dial it back a million notches ? Probably not.

Good luck.

Thanks you’re right it’s hard to find someone who’s both dominant and respects my agency with selective softness. I tend to get one of the other, a submissive coward who can’t protect himself or a dominant toxic control freak who also wants to control me. Then when they can’t they are pissed. I hope they figure it out and rise to the occasion. It only works if we A) control each other or B) selectively soft for each other. That’s why my heart still longs!

Anytime I think I’m in love it’s just limerance and then the illusion dies. They aren’t soft to me and mean to the world. Not to mention it be hard to spot that kind of guy cause his armour would be thick. It be the long run game to become his weakness.
