Chomsky's neo platonic language acquisition theory is as much a staple in first and second year psych as the works of BF Skinner, Harlow & Harlow, Abraham Maslow, Jean Piaget, Lawrence Kohlberg, and Phil Zimbardo.

Exactly it is like first and second year stuff. Thats why you remember it and I dont. Thats where you stopped. I went on, specialized and got my phd after 9 years.

Those are the foundations of the discipline. The basics on top of which most of the other theories are built. 

If somebody mentions Noam Chomsky to a person who has been studying as many years as you claim you've been studying, and you want to know more, said person would not come to a forum for crazy people to ask their opinion.

Said hypothetical person would do what other extremely educated people do. S/he would go back to an original source like this one:

get a one to 6 hour refresher on the foundational works, and then look at later theories that came up as a result of Chomsky's (or whichever theorist's) groundwork in the area.

Hint: a good source shows the foundation works, and where other theoretical models borrow from, diverge from, and flatly refute parts of the original (which in this hypothetical example would be Chomsky.)
